“Okay.” Jasper nodded, starting to do his English homework again.
“Okay.” Jasper nodded, starting to do his English homework again.
Aster finished the math homework after longer than it should’ve taken him, but he finished nonetheless. Aster opened his binder to his History homework, but immediately flipped to a different subject, Science. Better than History, but not by much.
“Did you just flip past your history homework?” Jasper asked, putting his English homework back in his binder since he was done.
“Um, no….” Aster unconvincingly lied, “That was… old homework,” Aster started to sweat a little, hoping he wouldn’t be caught.
“… so you didn’t turn it in?”
“Um….. the teacher handed it back…..?” Aster said as more of a question than an answer.
“I feel like you’re lying but sure.” Jasper shrugged, taking out his math homework, “Is it bad that I like geometry?”
Aster quietly sighed in relief, “No, everyone likes different things.” Aster replied as he started to work on his Science, just filling in the answers without getting anything out of it.
Jasper awkwardly did his geometry homework, occasionally glancing at Aster.
Aster shoved the finished homework in his binder, almost guaranteed to receive an “F”, but, oh well. Aster fished out his English and kept working on it.
“I don’t know, you tell me what y is.” Jasper grumbled under his breath, working out the math equation.
“It’s ‘y’.” Aster replied, “If you need anymore answers, I’m here to help!” Aster joked.
Jasper laughed, “Sorry, it’s what I do when I get annoyed at the equation.”
“Don’t worry, also if you were actually thinking of asking me for answers, I’d advise not to. At one point, a problem on a test said to find ‘x’. You wanna know what my answer was?” Aster asked.
“You circled it?”
“No, I said, ‘Dear Math, I’m not going to help you find your x, solve your own problems’.” Aster smiled, “The teacher got a good laugh out of it, but since most of my answers were like that, she had to fail the test.”
“Oh wow….” Jasper chuckled.
“Yeah, so, if you need any help on your homework, I’m the most qualified person for the job!” Aster gave a dramatic thumbs-up.
“Noted.” Jasper smirked, “Well are you good at magic?”
“I’m pretty good.” Aster nodded, “I think how bad I am in school and how good I am in magic balance out nicely.” He paused, “Well, maybe more on the ‘bad at school side’ now that I think of it.”
“That’s good to hear.”
“Yeah. So, how ‘bout you? Are you any good at magic?”
“I’m acceptable at it.” Jasper shruggedZ
“Nice.” Aster nodded. His binder now in his backpack which had mysteriously fallen to the ground, “Random question! What’s your favorite color?”
(Really what more can I say than ship right now in this conversation)
