Axtin hugged her in return. "Might I have this dance?" he asked, arching a brow.

River smiled and took his hand

The music slowed into a softer sounding song. He guided River as they danced. He wouldn't have guessed that he would find a nice girl like the one right in front of him.

River tried her best to follow Axtin, she never was the best dancer, she'd dated tons of guys, but none gave her the feeling she was feeling at this moment, it was different…She liked it, she didn't want it to end.

He gave her another small spin, then setting one of his hands on her hip, the other holding one of her hands.

"so, Axtin tell me about you're self, besides that you know you're way around the dance floor."

Astra cheered on the two dancing. She fidgeted a little bit in her chair. She wanted to go out and dance, but it was a slow song, and it would be awkward going out by herself, so she contented herself to watching the others and slowly getting more drunk.

"So, Axtin… tell me about yourself, besides that you know you're way around the dance floor."

He thought about telling River what he was before continuing on about himself. It's better she know in the beginning rather than later.
"If I'm going to be honest, I'm not entirely human. I'm half demon," he said, smile falling.

"You are?" River smiled, "that's amazing, I've never met someone who wasn't human before, but like…wow. I knew there was something about you!"

Axtin widened his eyes at this. That was not the reaction he was expecting. His grin returned as he saw River smile. He chuckled before saying, "There's a first for everything, I suppose."

"Yeah, I guess."

Taking a strand of River's rose colored hair, he twisted it loosely around one of his index fingers. "So what about you?"

"well, I'm a video game artist" She smiled her cheeks burning red, "A-and I'm human…I think, w-well I came from a… you might call a, broken home." she stared off into the distance a worried look crossing her face.

Axtin frowned at this. He had heard of many coming from rough pasts, some beaten, some even as far as tortured. He himself was half and not regarded as highly. However, that made no excuse for people to do terrible things to their own kind.
He was quite known for being forward, so that might explain what came over him when he leaned in and kissed River on the cheek. "Well, it's in the past now, right?" he asked, smile ever growing.

"Yeah." she leaned in inches away from his face, "at least I know my future will be amazing." she smiled, her face completely red.
