Xander stood back and gave Rigel his space, not wanting to overwhelm him with the sudden powers that he would feel. He was still nearby, but just watching. "Just remember to breathe. Okay, Rigel?" He told him, hoping that he wouldn't get another panic attack.
Rigel hesitantly nodded, then focused on the boulders. They slowly shifted, moving against reality as they pushed away to form a path. Rigel breathing became somewhat ragged as the boulders seemed to crush in on themselves and slowly become nothing. Then Rigel stumbled, losing his focus and falling.
Xander caught Rigel the second he saw him stumble back. It must've taken a lot of his energy to use his powers, so he let him relax in his arms. He carried Rigel again but this time he let him rest his head on his shoulder and his legs around his waist. He walked into the tunnel and crouched down a bit until they were in a large pocket. He saw the others and moved towards them. "Hey, guys."
Hawkin looked down from the ceiling. "Hey! See Rox! I called that one! Now if you please, go to the pedestal that has your power, and open the little stone door on the back, and there should be a cape."
"Hah, I called it before you nerd." She calls out cheerfully, petting the shadow around her neck.
Hawkin rolled his eyes. "Sure. Can I come closer to Kylie now? Do I have your permission oh great Rox?"
Hawkin just sighed and murmured, "Fine. Guess I'll stay up here, and watch her from a distance…"
(what happened with Hawkin?)
Rox is very protective of Kylie…//
(It's kinda funny… XD. One smol boi scared of one shadowy girl who could strangle him with darkness)
(Sounds like me. Lol.)
Kylie had been watching this exchange, trying not to giggle. As son as Rigel and Xander came in, she stopped herself.
Hawkin looked down at Kylie. "I know you think this is funny, but do I have permission to come near you? Rox won't let me…"
"Of course you do." Kylie smiled again. "He's fine, Rox."
Rox glared at him as the shadow around her neck arched its back and hissed at him.
Hawkin gingerly jumped down and walked over, and put his arm around Kylie's shoulders. "Thank you. Now, all I'll have to worry about is Rox trying to strangle me with shadows…" Hawkin gave Rox a vary glance.
"He wouldn't hurt me, Rox. Trust me, he's fine." Kylie gave Hawkin a 'you'd better not' look.
Hawkin nodded his head. "I wouldn't hurt her in a million years. That's a promise. I try to always stick by my promises. I know I could screw up, and then Rox would probably almost kill me with shadows, but what's near death?"
"I wouldn't almost kill you," Rox said, waiting for a pause to make sure he believed it. "I would kill you."
Hawkin slowly retreated, and tried hiding behind Kylie. But that's extremely hard to do when you're a 6' 2'' person…
He bent down and whispered in Kylie's ear. "Please don't let her kill me……….."
"Rox, the only excuse you have to kill him is if he kills me. Clear?" Kylie raised an eyebrow.
"But Kylieeeeeeeeee." Rox protested.
Hawkin stood up with a horrified look on his face. "Why would I kill you? I don't want to kill anybody!"
"I know you don't. But you know. If you did." Kylie shrugged at him, then turned to Rox. "How about this. Whatever he does to harm me, you get to do the exact same thing to him. Equal. Fair?"
Hawkin narrowed his eyes. "Fine. It's a deal, but if I poke her with my finger, that doesn't mean you get to poke me with a shadow blade knife thing…"
