Hawkin threw up his hands in confusion, and suddenly he was covered in a small explosion. He lowered his arms and wiped his eyes, and coughed out a small cloud of smoke. "I swear. This is going to drive me crazy. Fair warning, no one needs to scare me. I'm just not able to control this at the moment. Do any of you mind if I go take a walk to clear my head? I'll be back, I used to live on Hilton Head island. I know this territory pretty well…"
"Okay. Just - try and find the plane while you're at it! Everyone was in there! Grandma…" Kylie began to panic. A bright flare shot across the sky - a shooting star in the daytime. What?
Elysia stared at the ground. Another shot of electricity left her hand. She was shocked and couldn't talk. She walked away from the group and sat down under a tree trying to breath.
Hawkin pointed up to the sky. "I guessed you caused that… Well. I'll be back soon…" With that, Hawkin jogged into the woods, letting the pale light left in the sky, light his way.
Luis sat down on the ground, his head spinning. "What in the world is happening?" He asked no one in particular, staring at a patch of grass next to him. He moved his hand above it, causing the grass to grow a few inches. "This doesn't make sense."
After Hawkin got out of eyesight of everyone, he sprinted toward the smell of the ocean, and the sound of it. After about 20 minutes of running, he finally made it to the coast. He sat down, and tried to clear his head. But, something prevented it. His brain kept going to the plane. He closed his eyes, and laid down on the sand. Faintly, on the breeze, Hawkin smelled smoke. "Maybe it's a house? Or maybe it's the plane?"
Kylie limped back to her cosmic chair, huffing. Flares of light would periodically flash across the sky as she felt particular flares of anger.
Grandma is probably dead. Becuase of Hawkin. HAWKIN! Kylie slammed her fist on the asteroid's armrest, and a bright pink flash dotted the sky for a moment before something pink and shiny tumbled out of the sky, seemingly from nowhere.
Kylie picked it up. It was a tiara of sorts, made of a silver base with what was clearly pink gems of some sort forming crescent moons, stars, and cosmic swirls. She looked up to the sky in confusion, then to the others for help.

"What….?" Luis questioned, looking at the tiara in Kylie's hand. Then he looked up at the sky, throwing his hands in the air. "Can we have one minute to relax and think about stuff before something else happens?! I need time to think!"
"A fucking teeeariaa" Rox says, her accent making the word sound weird. "Put it on."
"Then how…did you survive the fall?" Kylie tilts her head.
Rigel scoffed, “I got lucky. I don’t know.” Rigel once again found himself reaching for his cigarettes, tensing up when they weren’t there. Something crunched in his bag, making him jump slightly, bumping into Xander.
"I would like that too. I don't know what's happening." Kylie shook her head, bordering on a confused sob. She hesitantly slid on the tiara.
Immediately, she felt what could only be described as an upwards sense of control. She had no control over anything that was earthly, but as she peered upwards towards the sky, she felt as if she could control it. But it wasn't even the sky. It was something beyond it.
Concentrating with all her might, a black seam cracked open the blue sky. It grew bigger until it was obviously space - with stars and space dust and all sorts of things.
Kylie staggered backward in shock and the tiara fell off, making her lose concentration. The seam in the sky closed as quickly as it had opened.
"Yup, that's fucked up." Rox notes, sitting down and noticing something by her hand. It was a crescent moon necklace, the moon in the center had silver spirals reaching towards it. "Strange.."
"What…what was that?!" Luis wondered out loud, standing up and running his fingers through his hair. "What…I don't…"
"That's weird. Were'd it come from? If you can control shadows, then it probably came from those. Speaking of which, where did this come from?" Kylie reset the pink tiara on her head. "It came from the sky, but I don't just control sky, it's something beyond it…what is my power?"
"I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS! I OPENED A HOLE IN THE SKY!" Kylie continued to rant.
"Space or something, we just saw the milky way." She said, about to latch the necklace onto her neck.
“I don’t see why we all assume magic. What if we’re just hallucinating? What if it’s just a coincidence?” Rigel’s pulse started to increase, muscles clamping up and panic flashed in his eyes. It’s okay, it’s okay, it’s-
"We couldn't all hallucinate the same thing. But…space? The cosmos?" Kylie fingered her tiara. "God.."
Elysia watched the others freak out from a distance. She then remembered something. she has her phone! She grabbed it from her pocket but before she could even see if it turned back on it sparked and lit on fire. She quickly dropped it on the ground and stepped on it to smother the flames. When she looked down at the charged phone. She took deep breaths trying to forget about her problems and focus on the bigger picture.
“It’s- It’s not magic,” Rigel said, suddenly short of breath. He eyes seemed to go out of focus, and subconsciously his hand grabbed onto Xander’s arm to steady himself. It’s not okay, it’s not okay, this can’t be real, this can’t- Another crunching noise came from his bag, and Rigel winced slightly.
Desiree looked at the ground. She could really only be grateful her family wasn't on that plane. Plopping against a tree, she glanced once again at the ground beneath her. Might as well learn the extent of her powers. Focusing intensely on the earth alone, she started by drawing it up, creating a whirlwind of brown. It spun faster and faster, getting denser as it compressed into a sphere. She could feel the pressure increasing, but she was getting dizzy trying to control it. Behind her temples a migraine was building up, so she let go after pushing her limits. But when she did, a single gem remained. In the form of a glistening teardrop, it was a deep brown, bordering on maroon. The red hue sparkles from the precious gem. A silver chain surrounded it, suspending it in air. Desiree reached for it, fastening it around her neck.
"It has to be magic. There is no scientific or logical explanation for any of this." Luis muttered. "Giant voids of darkness, causing explosions, controlling earth and lighting, moving trees and growing grass…that sounds a lot like magic."
“It’s- It’s not magic,” Rigel said, suddenly short of breath. He eyes seemed to go out of focus, and subconsciously his hand grabbed onto Xander’s arm to steady himself. It’s not okay, it’s not okay, this can’t be real, this can’t- Another crunching noise came from his bag, and Rigel winced slightly.
Xander looked at Rigel, seeing that he was going to pass out soon. He noticed that there was some noise coming from his bag that was startling him so he took the bag away from his ears and sat him down on the ground with him. "There's always other things, it doesn't need to specifically be magic per se. Maybe alchemy of some sort or we were born with it or something."
Rigel clutched onto Xander’s arm, tunnel vision kicking in as he desperately tried to make sense of things. Focus on breathing, just focus on- A loud crunch came from his bag again, and he finally opened it, in feat of what he was going to see. His photos were still crumpled, but- Rigel’s breath stopped for a second as he beheld his imploded camera. “Wh-What?” He whispered shaking, reaching into the bag and picking up the broken pieces. A little shimmering necklace rolled out of the wrecked camera pieces.

"Okay, I know some crazy things have been happening, but where did that come from?" Xander asked while pointing to the necklace. He was getting stressed out again and another cloud formed above him. It dropped something that weighed about an ounce on his head. "Ouch." He said, while rubbing the spot where it fell. It was a titanium ring with different colors. "And, I also don't remember ever owning that."
