(In answer to your question, F.F, I did read the first page.)

Vespera awakes in the middle of a dark, damp chamber.

She was on her back, staring up at what she immediately knew to be a stone and mortar ceiling. She gets up and looks around, dust falling from her clothes and from her hand.

The rest of the room was the same stone and mortar, save a single arched doorway in the farthest wall from her.

Knowing that this was probably a part of her Lord's will, she simply picks up her grimoire and starts towards the doorway.

Peter took a deep breath to calm himself before calling the shadows to him, wearing them like a long cloak as he stayed close to the walls and started moving. Nothing had seemed to happen earlier and he knew he wasn't going to find a way out unless he started walking.

Vespera pauses at the doorway, casting her mind about the hall for traps or monsters, just to ensure she was good to go down the hall.

As he walks, Romulus becomes aware of several things.

  1. This place is extensive. He's been walking for hours, definitely, with no end in sight. Occasionally he comes to a hall or corridor that is huge and very, very long, seeming to continue on forever. These he is able to just blitz down, flying fast enough to set off sonic booms in the-… tunnels? Hallways? But so far, he's come to no exit. No way to get out.
  2. The invisible ceiling is in place everywhere. There's no getting out. He's tried multiple times, and it won't break, insofar as he's been willing to try.
  3. The layout and walls keep changing. At some point, he came to a corridor that had stone floors, instead of the dirt he'd woken up on. This was a change, and he'd followed the stone corridor until it ended in a dead end. However, when he came back to where he thought he started, it was tiled. Not stone, not dirt, tiled. And it had an extra turn in it now. He'd been certain this was the spot.
    As it turns out, he was right, and the halls and walls and floors were constantly shifting, moving, changing coverings. So now, if he had any hope of mapping the place mentally before, he has none now.
  4. He's not alone. There is something or someone else in here. He's come upon footprints in the dirt, and worse… tracks. Beastly tracks with vicious hooked claws and massive hoof tracks and the slithering trails of snakes.

So when he comes round the corner and sees a shadowy figure approaching through the gloom, he clamps down his helmet, shielding his mind, and settles with his back against a wall.
"Hello?"

Peter let out a startled yelp when he hears a voice calling out and presses himself against the opposite wall. He wasn't expecting to come across anyone else and he had been hoping that the shadows would have been enough to hide him. Seeing how that didn't pan out, he let the shadows drop but kept them close. “Hello…” he replied softly, hoping this stranger wasn't the one responsible for putting him here.

(is it too late??? did I miss an awesome rp??? looks around with hopeful eyes)
(i read first page!!!)

Romulus almost hadn't seen the figure at all. The corridor was unusually bright, the white tile making the thick shadows stand out a bit. That was the only way he'd seen the individual.
A soft male voice called back, and Romulus smiled to himself, though he stayed guarded. "Hey. Do you know where we are?" He avoided asking who they were, or if they were responsible, just as he would have avoided answering those questions.

Romulus held his hands out to his sides and slowly began walking towards the guy. It didn't help make him less intimidating but it was clear he wasn't armed.
"How'd you find yourself here?" He didn't want to have to keep calling. Some of the tracks he'd seen had him pretty concerned that this place had monstrosities, dangerous ones, and being loud wasn't on his to-do list because it would lead to getting killed.

The shadows writhed at Peter’s feet as the other man approached, though he tried to calm down at the gesture. “I… I don't know.” he admitted as he let a shadowy tendril reach his fingers and started playing with it as if it was a fidget toy. “I just woke up in this place.”

Vespera continues down the hall, watching as it suddenly changed to different building materials entirely.

She decides to, out of curiosity, call out "Light!" in her Lord's language.

As expected, no lights show up, so it wasn't one of her master's tests.

She summons a black spike above her palm then holds it out, summoning a bright white flame.

@EldritchHorror-Davadio health_and_safety emoji_events

Romulus stopped moving as the shadows moved, like cloth or a liquid or something. The person was fidgeting with darkness, which…
Never the kind of people to take lightly.
"Me too. Flat on my back in the dirt, which is a position I don't often find myself in." he chuckled.
He was going to ask more, when a voice called out a single syllable from around the corner, in a language he didn't understand. Nothing happened, but he found himself moving to place himself between the smaller, quieter boy-in-the-shadows and whoever was calling out.
Blasted protective instincts….

(question; is this going to be mature audience, rated R, etc. type stuff? I'll be honest, I'm sensitive to those things and won't be able to do the rp if that's the case… I just noticed that @Davadio does a lot of mature rps P-P)

(To be fair, I think most people here do, but I think that the most that will happen here will be violence. Correct me if I'm wrong, of course, F.F.)

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

(🤔 I don't think we ever discussed that part of this rp but I think mature stuff such as swearing and serious injury is not unreasonable. But I am going to say that if a relationship forms and gets intimate that it be moved to PM’s. And let’s not get too graphic with blood and gore.)
