(Yee. Where's Turtle?)
//i only get 1 hour per day
Lucas entered the room alongside his father, shivering and leaning against him. His temperature was still dropping, and it wasn't yet clear why. Although his temperature was only a few degrees below what's typical for the average human, he felt like he was freezing.
“Okay, Edna,” Bob nodded. “Please help.”
Edna looked surprised, putting a hand to her chest. “Bob, darling, why wouldn’t I help? Here, here, Lucas, just… yes, stand there, darling. We will fix you in no time.”
Kaly did things. (It's a secret for now…)
Lucas stood in the designated place, shivering as he watched Edna move about the room to look for things she needed. “W-What are you gonna do to me? What’s wrong with me?”
Bob sighed. “Edna’s going to help you. Don’t worry, it’ll work out.”
“Am I sick?” Lucas coughed as he looked up at his father, already knowing the answer. “Am I having like, a reverse fever?”
Bob glanced at Edna, then back at his son. “The truth is… we really don’t know. Your ability is unprecedented, and, as a result, so is your chemistry. But it’ll all work out. You’ll be fine.”
“Mm…” Lucas was feeling lightheaded and was swaying, but as he had never been lightheaded before, he did nothing about it.
“Edna! Hurry!” Bob said urgently.
“Darling, darling. You cannot rush perfection!” Edna exclaimed, watching one of her machines empty a vial into one of those needle thingys. “I am ready!”
(Lol Edna, yas!)
Lucas went pale, or paler than usual, as he looked at the long needle. He glanced up at his father anxiously, clearly not wanting the thing anywhere near him.
“Are you okay with this, Lucas? It’s a near-instant fix, but if you aren’t comfortable, we can try something else,” Bob said, looking concernedly at Lucas.
"I… I-I…" It seemed that Lucas was about to say something, but he broke down in a coughing fit. "I dunno… it.. it looks dangerous." He said nervously, holding tightly to his father's hand. "W-What if something goes wrong?"
“It won’t,” Bob reassured Lucas, gripping his hand. “I promise.” He subtly nodded to Edna, who poked the machine, which began moving the needle towards Lucas’s arm.
//if thats alright
(That’s fine)
Lucas shied away from the needle, clutching his father’s arm tighter as it neared him. After a moment, it was right next to him and had stabbed into his arm, causing him to jump.
“It’s okay, it’s okay,” Bob said, attempting to soothe Lucas. He wished Evaline were here…
Edna stepped forwards and began examining Lucas’s arm. “Hmm… oh, yes…. good, good, darling… You are healed!” she finally exclaimed.
“Am… am I?” Lucas said weakly, still tightly gripping Bob’s arm. He was still swaying as well, and pale, though his temperature had risen already.
Kaly returned to the house.
“Am… am I?” Lucas said weakly, still tightly gripping Bob’s arm. He was still swaying as well, and pale, though his temperature had risen already.
Bob felt Lucas’s forehead, breathing a sigh of relief. “You feeling any better?”
"I think so… my head feels weird." Lucas leaned against his father for support, seeing stars. He very clearly did not like the needle experience.
“Do you want to wait a minute, or do you want to go home now?” Bob asked, wrapping his arm around Lucas’s shoulders.
"Mmm… what's happening to me?" Lucas looked up at his father, his vision blurry and his eyes vague. "Why're my eyes so… so sparkly looking?"
“Ummm…” Bob looked to Edna, who sighed over dramatically.
“Darling, darling. You never did know the secrets of the mind,” she said, gesturing wildly. “It’s lowering your temperature. Your eyesight may be off for a bit.”
Lucas clutched his father's arm, his whole body feeling incredibly heavy and black creeping in at the edges of his vision. He slowly began to slump down to the ground, his knees weak and unstable. "Dad… I don't… I don't think this is n-normalll…" Did I suddenly get heavier or something?
(He's just pretty lightheaded. He's fine lol)
