"We're going to your government," she said shortly.
"We're going to your government," she said shortly.
"Why?" He demanded, looking at her and keeping his arms crossed. "What do they need me for?"
"You're needed for a job," Lily glared at him. I thought this was going to be an easy job! she thought.
"What job?" He demanded, looking at her with his lips pressed into a thin line.
"I don't know," Lily complained. "How should I know? I'm just sent to fetch you," and she wasn't telling a lie, she just wasn't telling him everything.
He sighed. "Okay. Fine. Show me, then."
(Before I reply, is this set in modern day, more historical, or futuristic?)
(futuristic)
Lily looked up where the government buildings were in this world on her smart-contacts (basically contacts lenses mixed with "smart glasses"), and started to follow the directions. "Come on then, we don't have all the time in the world."
He followed her, arms still crossed. He didn't trust this girl. Not at all. There was something very… suspicious, about this whole thing. Without a doubt.
Maybe I should've been more prepared… oh who am I kidding, I can't waste another second when I could be getting my scholarship, she thought as she walked along. Once they got there, Lily looked up at the large buildings in awe, but quickly strode inside the building. Speaking to the receptionist, she said, "Lily, Lily Norman. I'm with Lynn Thomas…"
(wait did she take him to his government, or to hers? Because if its his they have no idea who she is. Also I'm assuming you want me to be the receptionist?)
(his, and yes please)
The receptionist arched an eyebrow. "Miss, i have absolutely zero records of a Lily Norman having any business here whatsoever." She replied dryly.
Lynn frowned, looking at Lily through narrowed eyes.
Lily sighed. "Look, I can't take him back to my world. Please, I need to speak with a [insert name of a high level ranking job because I don't know any lol]," she replied, lowering her voice, her hands on the table and leaning towards the receptionist.
The receptionist shook her head. "Absolutely not." She replied firmly.
"You know what? You really don't have any choice, okay?" she returned, and put her hand on her gun, protectively.
The receptionist straightened, eyes narrowing. "Excuse you?" She said. "Do i need to call the police?"
Lynn's eyes darted between them.
"No miss, if you take me to a [insert name of a high level ranking job because I don't know any lol], I'll leave you alone," Lily added.
"And i said no. Go home and make an appointment, and you can. But i can't just let you waltz in without an appointment or anything." The receptionist replied firmly.
