(Yeah, Brookestone is a boarding school, so Mallory would need to enter the dorm and unpack everything. It’s not the first official day of classes yet. :))

(ok lemme edit)
(Adalise is a teacher, you could have Mallory interact with Lisette, since they’re roommates. They can both have a chance to interact with Adalise when she walks by their room, but she hasn’t yet. :))
(got it, i forgot lisettes name, lol sorry)
(edit made)
(That works but future reference, please don’t add other people’s characters responses in your response. Sorry, I probably sound like a bitch 😅)
(Also, I thought they were going to be in the same dorm room?)
(Yes, and I forgot to mention that Lisette’s ties to the school are totally fine. I think they’ll make it more interesting as the rp goes on… ;))
(Cool! Thanks)
(oh whoops. i edited(again))
(rip this died)
Lisette watches as someone comes into the room in a rush, completely ignoring her, which, to be fair, was expected, so she continues to unpack her briefcase and other luggage in silence. She wasn't much of a conversationalist when it came to new students or even others that her father introduced her to. She had met someone from another rich family named Chernobyl. It was an odd name for a girl, but it's not like that was any of her business. Besides, she hadn't met the girl enough times to be on talking terms all the time.
Once Lisette has finished unpacking her belongings, she sat on her bed and took a book out of her briefcase which she hadn't put away yet. She still had small things in her case that she decided were much safer inside instead of leaving them out in the open where someone could steal them. Not that she thought anyone was stupid enough to take anything from her, but it was better safe than sorry.
Occasionally Lisette peered over at the girl as she unpacked her own things. It wasn't until the girl spoke about something being beautiful that Lisette looked out the window. She guessed the outside looked pretty nice, especially at this time of year, though she didn't comment on it, only looked at the girl curiously. She looked like the type to get distracted by every little thing, which kind of amused Lisette. It reminded her of Chernobyl. And since she seemed friendly enough, maybe this wouldn't be so bad.
"Are you new?" Lisette questioned, eyes still glued to her book, unwilling to look up from it.
"My name's Lisette, and I figure I should get to know your name since we'll be stuck with each other for the rest of the year," She said casually, only when she finished reading the line she was looking at did she look up to meet the figure of the girl.
Mallory jumps. She turns around, startled. "What? W-Who are you?" she asks. "How long have you been here? And no, I'm not new. I'm a senior. Just… a little late. You know deadlines." She laughs half-heartedly. "Name's Mallory. When did Brookstone start allowing roommates?" She asks because she never had a roommate in all four years at Brookstone.
Adalise smiled at all the new faces she passed, steering clear of girls with large suitcases and wide paths. She made sure she kept up an even stride, attempting to look like the rest of the staff did. She passed by a room with the door open and two girls unpacking.
The woman took a deep breath and gathered the courage to peek her head in. "Hi ladies. How are you settling in?"
Lisette looks at the other girl with squinted eyes, as if in disbelief.
"I'm your new roommate? They usually put girls in pairs? Surely you must be new to not know this information?" She asked, arching an eyebrow at the girl's lack of knowledge. At the information that the other wasn't new, Lisette seemed skeptical. Maybe she was trying to appear like she wasn't new, but she was definitely new.
"For some reason, I don't believe you," Lisette said, her voice unsure whether she should take her word for it or not. "And I've been here for about" She checked her silver watch. "Thirty minutes now. Originally I was unpacking but I'm done" She waved the book in her hand as if to demonstrate.
"Now I'm reading," She said simply. The whole conversation seemed odd to her, off, but she decided she would overlook it. This was her roommate, after all, couldn't be enemies if they were going to be sharing the same space together.
"Well Mallory" Lisette started, a tinge of annoyance in her voice now. "They've always allowed roommates, are you sure you're not new?" Again, another eyebrow arched on Lisette's forehead.
"And I wouldn't say you're late per se…" She trailed off when another face popped into the doorway of their room. Lisette wondered if the person was lost. When they spoke though, was when she realized this wasn't another student and in fact, was a teacher. A new one? How curious.
"We're doing just fine, but unfortunately I've been paired with an airhead," She said, meaning Mallory. "Not sure if she's new or not, she won't tell me," She said, even though Mallory had indeed told her, Lisette just refused to believe it.
Maybe she had been given a room to herself, but those circumstances were rare, even for Lisette. Maybe no one could tolerate her? Lisette scoffed to herself at the thought. Just her luck.
(im sorry but i'm really busy with other rps, i'm gonna see myself out. sorry for the inconvenience)
