He broke away with a grin. "It's too cold outside, come inside."
He broke away with a grin. "It's too cold outside, come inside."
She smiled a little and nodded her head in agreement. "Okay." She started inside.
Alton closed the door behind her. "God, it's cold." He muttered, going to turn up the heat.
He was right. She could feel the goosebumps returning on her arms sending a shiver throughout her entire body. "Yeah." She crossed her arms over her chest in attempt to warm herself up a bit.
Alton tossed her the blanket she'd had earlier. "I'll be in my room if you need me…" He shifted rather uncomfortably and ducked into his room.
(so how we gonna go romo)
(I have no idea. For some reason, I can't give Red any umph and stuff. She pushes people away, buuuuuttttttt she can't do that forever. I don't really know, I just woke up sorry. Got any ideas? I mean, I know it's a little bit far in, but I could change Red a little (it's my first time actually using her in a romance) to make it where she has a more flirtatious vibe??? And that's her wall???)
(hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm sorry I wasn't on for long I was grounded, but….we could have Alton kind of soften her a lil bit, y'know?)
(It's cool. Umm yeah that sounds good, but how so? Sorry I just woke up and my brain's an oof)
(like make her realize that he's there to help her and she doesn't have to be all icy)
(Oof kk)
Red watched as he left. Maybe he really does mean to help. It hasn't happened before, or at least, she hadn't let it, but for once in her life she wished not to have walls.
After about an hour, Alton came out of his room to see Red sitting on the couch.
Sighing, he went to sit next to her, closing his eyes, trying to think of how to say what he needed to.
Red turned her head slightly noticing his eyes were closed. "Hey." She could tell something was up. "You okay?"
"I'm fine…really. It's you I'm worried about." He opened his eyes to look at her. "Are you okay? Not even one full day and I've already done so much…"
"I'm fine." She thought for a moment. "You have done a lot, more than anyone has so thank you."
"Really?" He inclined his head. "I didn't think I'd done much, really…"
"Without you, I'd be wandering the streets." She wrung her hands in her lap. "Which happens a lot."
Alton shifted closer and sighed. "You can stay here as long as you need to, Red."
"I- thanks." She smiled a little. There was no telling how long she'd stay. The next road trip she had planned was supposed to be soon, but for some reason she wanted to stay a little longer.
"I mean it." Sincerely, he took one of her hands in his. "I don't care if you need to stay forever."
As his hand held hers, time seemed ti stop, butterflies filling every inch of her stomach. She finally spoke. "Thank you."
(hardcore)
"No trouble." He put his head back to normal. "You look a little lightheaded, I have to say."
She did still feel a little lightheaded. "Just a little. I'm okay."
"You know why? I could take you back to the guest room for you…" Alton offered.
