Eris shivered slightly. She wasn't cold anymore, but - she shook her head. There were probably cameras.
Eris shivered slightly. She wasn't cold anymore, but - she shook her head. There were probably cameras.
She examined the cell, her lair, her place of solitude and peace. Sure, there was a girl who had telekinesis in this confined area, but the thrill of danger hadn't worried her before. And once again, the familiar thumping of the tennis ball beat through the silence.
Eris groaned and put her hands over her ears. That stupid noise was going to drive her insane.
Her hackles were rising, oddly enough. She tilted to head to the side and abruptly silenced the tennis ball. A comforting thrum of radiation crackled in the air. She had never felt… off, in her lair.
Eris shivered, probably because she was cold. She didn't feel cold though, anymore. She felt - "cameras, right? I mean, you have cameras in here, don't you?"
Kira paused. "That's a good idea. This cell was made almost purely for you - I assumed I would be watching or have someone guard you at all times." She absently twirled a strand of hair. "I should implant cameras. Thanks for the idea."
No cameras. "Then what - " She rubbed the back of her neck in confusion.
"Hm?" Something was definitely off. Was Eris trying to trick her, in some way? Her gaze sharpened instantaneously. Senses honed into each other as Kira tensed. Silence.
No, this wasn't a trick, the feeling was stronger, it was enough to chill the toughest man, like a gust of wind blew past in a still forest. Something fell, it sounded like it was metal and plastic, and with only seconds to realize- BOOM! A blast of blinding light appeared behind Eris, only allowing her to see a cloaked figure crouched in the rafters, they wore a mask that was decorated to look like a dragon, staring directly at her as Kira was left to face the explosion.
. . . . . . . . . .
Ears ringing, head dizzy, eyes with only white to see, the cloaked figure was planning something, that was a flash grenade… While both were temporarily blinded, (Kira longer as she was facing it) a pair of footsteps ran past, another pair soon following after a landing.
Eris screamed and covered her head with her arms. "What the hell?!" Her ears were ringing, and it felt like the rest of her head was, as well.
Kira’s shield immediately screamed, green piercing the blinding light. Her body curled into itself, and her hands went to cradle her ears. Eyes slammed shut, Kira didn’t dare to move.
(( Evil cackling ))
(Oh I thought you were dead.welcome back my guy!)
(HI! :D We deadified you and almost mummified you, so great thing you're not dead)
(Oh, thank you! I've been a little busy lately)
(We all have lol. It'd be your turn to go, I think?)
(Alright, go ahead and tell me to interact or roll perception if needed)
There were a couple other explosions outside, though they were muffled by the lack of proper hearing from the last one. It was hard to think, luckily it was fading, but it felt like your thoughts were trapped behind a wall, as quiet as the bangs that were outside… speaking of which, they've stopped, maybe they realized that the two haven't completely recovered and was throwing them in case they did. Or were they attacking someone else, someone innocent?
