She snorted. "How noble of you… but one could argue that quite literally abducting you would be considered an attack." Kira tilted her head to the side, not even trying to hide her identity anymore.
She snorted. "How noble of you… but one could argue that quite literally abducting you would be considered an attack." Kira tilted her head to the side, not even trying to hide her identity anymore.
Eris tapped her fingers thoughtfully. "Hm, maybe. Are you hoping for me to attack you? Because that's never a good sign."
"Hope is utterly pointless. Do, not hope," Kira murmured slowly. "Because hope doesn't get you anywhere." A wicked grin curved her lips, recklessness challenging Eris to attack her.
"Amazing. I didn't know you were a philosopher. My cousin studied philosophy, and he would always spout things like that. 'Hope is for the weak,' or, 'what is evolution, really?' or, 'ever think that everyone else in this planet is also an individual human being and has complex thoughts just like yours?' He triggered many an existential crisis," she stated at the ceiling thoughtfully as she talked.
Her green eyes dulled as she comprehended Eris's statements. Crossing her arms, Kira let slip quietly, "Your cousin sounds like a good person. Perhaps I'll meet them someday."
"Nah, he's dead now. Got crushed by a building a few years back," Eris said mildly.
A hunger entered her voice. "What building? When? Why?" she questioned. Kira could've whipped out a notepad right then and there and transformed into a journalist, but instead she flipped a switch on the wall. The tennis ball rolled snugly into her hands. "What was his name?"
Eris's brow furrowed. "Er, no clue. Somewhere in Germany. We weren't very close. Mainly because of the philosophy stuff."
Kira pursed her lips, a judgmental frown creasing into her forehead. "Who said anything was wrong with philosophy?" she prodded, a hint of emotion shining through. "I would've liked to meet him," she mused, "such a shame he's dead."
Eris rolled her eyes. "Yes, well, it wasn't exactly ideal for anyone involved, but unfortunately there are still stupid people with bombs."
"Bombs?" She pushed herself off the wall, the tennis ball now bouncing between the ground and her hand. "That sounds like something that would've spread all over the media at its time."
"You'd think that, but as it turns out, the German government is very good at covering things up," Eris replied with a sigh.
The thumping paused before resuming. "German, hm? I feel like you have more information that what you're providing," Kira interrogated.
Eris have a short laugh. "I don't, and even if I did, it's not as though I would tell you."
Her feet padded softly as she approached the cell, cautiously avoiding the ripped hinges. "What am I going to do with information about the past?"
"It really doesn't matter," Eris responded calmly. "Seeing as I've been abducted, I don't particularly feel like sharing information of any sort."
"You've also destroyed my cell," Kira stated bluntly. "I wasted a tennis ball on your abduction process - be grateful," she sniffed, smirking. "Now, do tell about the bombs."
Eris scoffed. "I don't think I will, thanks."
(hey do we want the bombs to be related to the big villain or no?)
(Iiiiiiiiidkkkkkk)
(( I'm down for it ))
(is that okay? or did you already have something in mind lol)
The neon green ball smacked the group rather fiercely. "You're doing this out of pettiness, aren't you? It has nothing to do with this… cell, if you can call it such." Kira's throat was strained, desperately holding onto a calm, composed tone. "You just want to annoy me…"
Eris smiled innocently. "Me, petty? Now that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. No, this is about justice. An eye for an eye, and that sort. You kidnap me and throw me in a cell, I tell you nothing."
(( I didn't have anything like that in mind, only some story elements for the future ))
