"Tiiiiired…" Mori whined louder, holding tighter to Lilac. "My head hurts and I wanna sleep. Don't wanna be awake anymore…"
"Tiiiiired…" Mori whined louder, holding tighter to Lilac. "My head hurts and I wanna sleep. Don't wanna be awake anymore…"
Lilac rubbed Mori’s back. “I know…I know…maybe you can sleep for a tiny bit, but you have to promise to wake back up,” she told him, not wanting to get in trouble but not wanting him to be too tired. She also wanted him to be okay and safe and it’s hard to do that when someone’s asleep.
Aspen smiled and sighed "its beautiful, isn't it?" she asked Bean quietly. Twiddling with her fingers.
Bean nodded, grabbing onto Aspen’s hand. “I wish the circumstances were better, though…” she sighed quietly.
(how did you guys do three whole pages in the couple hours before I got up? Did I miss anything or was it only flirting)
(Hehehehe)
(Pretty much just flirting and Mori isn't feeling great lol)
"Mm…" Mori closed his eyes and soon relaxed in Lilac's arms. He relaxed more once he was actually asleep since he wasn't in as much pain anymore, and he seemed more content.
(Yeah, I haven't posted anything new, no major plot points)
Lilac held Mori close as she continued to brush her fingers through his hair. She stayed quiet so that she wouldn’t wake him up. Sleep tight, kid… she thought as she stayed up, keeping watch.
"Yeah… I bet it's hard not having that closure. What I went through- it was brutal- but at least… at least I wasn't left wondering. That must be tough," Tohru replied softly, "But yeah, you're right. You do have us now. And we're going to do everything we can to keep each other alive."
(my last post, which got lost in the void ;-;)
Aspen sighed too, her eyes blinking slowly, she looked out into the world and gave a final sigh "its crazy, how long this has been the new normal, I cant even remember how long its been since that first day, when they announced the virus outbreak." She said quietly, her eyes scanning the horizon.
Bean nodded. “So much has happened since then…” she whispered, leaning against Aspen. She still had a hard time believing this was really happening. That she lost her parents. That she lost Hailey. It was all a little too much for her. She took a deep breath.
Aspen looked out into the sky "my mom used to always tell me if we were together, as long as we had each other; we were okay. But then I was alone, I was alone and lost and I-" she swallowed and sighed warily "and I didnt know what to do." She added quietly, toying with a thread on her pants, pulling at it "she told me that and then she left me, all alone…all because she refused to use violence to protect herself." Aspen added angrily, her voice faltering with sadness.
Bean hugged Aspen tightly. “I’m so sorry…” she muttered as tears pricked the corners of her eyes. She wished she could help. She wished she could do anything to fix this whole situation. But she can’t….and that hurt.
Aspen's arms went limp, her hand barely even holding Bean's anymore :I just- I wish she would've tried to at least protect herself and my sister." She whispered quietly. Her eyes glazed over with remembrance, and her throat making a sound of sadness "fuck this is so stupid, we're totally fucked." She whispered quietly.
“Hey, don’t say that..we’ll make it out…” Bean quietly said as she rubbed Aspen’s back. “We’re going to survive…” she continued. She was scared too but she believed in everyone. They were strong enough to live..they had to be.
Aspen turned to her and smiled softly "I hope so, but I just…" she stopped herself and looked back out to the sky "its so beautiful out here." She stated, her eyes glazed over with a mix of various emotions.
Bean nodded, holding her close. “It is beautiful…but maybe we should go back inside…” she sighed. “It’s bringing up some painful memories for you and I don’t want you to be upset…” she stood up and offered her hand to Aspen.
Aspen sighed and took Bean's hand, and standing up, following her inside "I feel like an outsider here…" she whispered into Bean's ear, she gripped her hand and sighed.
“We all do…we all come from different environments,” Bean tried to reassure her as she walked into the building. “You’re not alone…not anymore,” she tried to smile as she sat down on the couch, guiding Aspen next to her.
Aspen laid down, resting her head in Bean's lap "I just wish we didn't meet in these circumstances, like I wish I could paint your nails, or take you out…take you stargazing…steal your hoodie's, give you my hoodies" she said quietly, blushing "I just wish it could be normal." She added softly, resting her free hand on Beans knee.
Bean brushed Aspen’s hair with her fingers. “I know…I wish it was better too…” she whispered as she tried to comfort the girl. “Maybe once this thing ends, we can do that stuff…” she suggested, smiling a little. If it ever ends…
Mori stirred a little in Lilac's arms, but stayed asleep and huddled closer to her to get more comfortable. Kas was still fast asleep as well, and remained completely still on the floor.
Aspen smiled into Beans thigh, she closed her eyes and saw her mother and sister, but she pushed the thought away, and slid her hand into Bean's and eventually falling asleep.
