"Mmkay… I've made little traps for animals before, but they haven't been working as well lately. Most of the berries and mushrooms around here don't make me throw up, though." He hummed thoughtfully to himself.

Tohru gave a bit of pause.
"Good god, Mori, you haven't just been eating whatever berries and mushrooms you can find, have you?" He asked, a bit alarmed.
Tohru slowly started to get up.
"Anyway, I'm going to check, make sure the area is clear enough, and we can get going when everyone is ready."
Bean nodded. “Okay…” she muttered as Luka sat up, rubbing his eyes. “Hm..?” he looked around. It was as if he almost forgot what had happened. Once he remembered, he started to tear up.
(HI! I don't think I've seen you around before. Could you drop me a writing sample before you officially join in? Otherwise, you're good to go!)
(That would be correct; I'm new.
(Writing sample: Earl paused for a moment. "Wait…where's my…Rachel, where's my screwdriver?" Rachel popped out from the kitchen. "I don't know. Why do you need it?"
Earl showed her his new pistol "My gun's going to blow up if I don't have it." )
(Is that good?)
(Yeah, that works! As for getting your character in, our characters are now at a survivor outpost, so he might wind up there somehow.)
(Yeah!)
Tohru gave a bit of pause.

Tohru slowly started to get up.
"Anyway, I'm going to check, make sure the area is clear enough, and we can get going when everyone is ready."
"Well, yeah…" Mori replied quietly, fidgeting a bit with his hands. "Like I said, most of them don't make me throw up, so it's fine, right?" He shrugged a bit, reluctantly getting out of Tohru's lap.
"I- um… well… some can make you very sick or even kill you," Tohru replied, "but you can learn to tell which ones are okay to eat."
He found himself shuddering a bit. This poor kid could've died like that…
(I know the perfect way to introduce him-)
"IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!" Earl ran out from a tent, being chased by a very angry chihuahua. "NOW CALL YOUR DOG OFF!"
(Chaos is always the best way to introduce someone)
The three siblings all looked at Earl after Bean gave a concerned glance to Mori. “W…What’s goin’ on?” Luka asked, rubbing his eyes again.
"I'm sure I'll be fine…" Mori hummed softly to himself and jumped when he heard someone yelling outside, seeming antsy and nervous. "W-What was that??"
Earl jumped over a crate. "I WILL PUNT YOUR DOG ACROSS THE CAMP IF THIS KEEPS UP!" He managed to make a few more feet before being taken down by the chihuahua. "YOU LITTLE-" That was all he managed to get out before he face planted.
Bean stood up and walked over to Earl. “Excuse me sir…but why are you yelling?” she asked, not as loud as Earl’s yelling.
At first, Tohru had reached for his gun and clicked off the safety. But as soon as he realized what was happening, he lowered it.
Some people must have camped outside. He was surprised they hadn't been attacked.
He walked up cautiously behind Bean.
Earl shook the dog off and stood up. "THIS DOG'S OWNER IS AN ASSHOLE WHO SCAMMED ME!" He yelled as he started to take out the pistol.. "AND I AM VERY TIRED OF THIS DOG CHASING ME!"
“Whoa, whoa whoa! Don’t shoot the dog!” Bean stepped in between the dog and Earl. “That’s just cruel!”
"SCARING THE DOG, AND SHOOTING A DOG ARE VERY DIFFERENT THINGS." Earl said as he pulled the trigger, sending a bullet into the ground and scaring off the chihuahua. "Shooting the dog was never the plan." He took a breath and holstered his gun.
“I hope not!” Bean crossed her arms, frowning. “There are children here and they don’t need to see any more dead bodies,” she hissed.
Mori screamed at the gunshot and covered his ears, trembling with fear. His face was very pale, and he seemed terrified, still not entirely sure what was going on outside.
"Agreed." Earl replied grimly. "Name's Earl Harbinger. Yours?" He got out a cigarette pack and huffed. "Out…worst timing in the world."
“Bean Rose,” Bean held her left arm. “And no, Bean doesn’t stand for anything…” she was about to sigh when she heard Mori and Luka scream. “Crap…” she rushes back to the others. “Guys, you okay?” she asked them, checking for any wounds.
Mori was still trembling, staring wide-eyed at where the sound had come from. He kept his ears covered with his hands, hiccuping and drawing in quick, sharp breaths. "W-What's happening…?"
“The new guy shot at the ground…don’t worry, it’s over,” Bean pulled Mori close as Luka leaned against his sister, breathing heavily.
