(Lol. And yeah, Lucitius does indeed have his moments of being absolutely frightening)
(Lucitius: Abruptly appears. ‘Tis a gift. And I have no reason to attack you at all. Grins mischievously, then abruptly vanishes)
(Alright, good night. I honestly don’t consider it the next day until I wake up, even if it’s the early morning of said next day when I go to bed. But, that’s just me)
(And Lucitius is still going to say Radiant, even though we both appear to be writing ‘Asuka’. To him, Radiant is the more fitting of the two names)
Lucitius turned to Asuka with a grin.
“‘Tis not only mortality, yet insanity, mine dear Archangel. A Vanisher cannot comprehend the mind of a mortal, as mortals cannot comprehend the mind of a Vanisher. Goldergon can no longer comprehend all that he has ever known. That is what Vanishers fear the most,”Lucitius replied.
Goldergon flinched as Asuka spoke to him telepathically and Ehvara hugged him tighter. He wrapped around her, desperate for comfort.
“‘Where we are going’? Where do you wish to go? I can think of countless places. And we need not wait for Goldergon to break, he is already broken. Ehvara, his sister, is now her own separate being, a false persona given life, a newborn,”Lucitius explained.
“That woman is Goldergon’s sister? They look nothing alike!”Mardicos abruptly commented.
Lucitius grinned,”To a mortal, yes. To Goldergon, even as a Vanisher, they have always been siblings.”
Mardicos sighed and shook his head, not even attempting to understand. He resumed watching Goldergon, his glare remaining.
Lucitius listened to Asuka’s words, smiling thoughtfully at her.
“That indeed sounds fair, yet I truly had a different strategy in mind. If Goldergon proves himself worthy, I will gift him the voices of his forms, that his mind will no longer be silent and he might regain some form of his own sanity. His immortality shall come afterward, though immortality has been known to bleed off of me, as mine family can prove. Yet, if he ever desires to regain more, he will have to spend lifetimes in servitude, and hope he does not provoke me in the process,”Lucitius remarked.
“Why waste time on this bastard?”Mardicos snorted, starting to pace irritably.
“Time is never wasted, Mardicos,”Lucitius replied, watching Goldergon as golden tears continued to drain from his eyes.
Mardicos huffed, seeming to disagree with Lucitius’ statement. His eyes kept glancing toward the forest, and he clearly itched to roam again.
Lucitius approached and crouched down next to the pair, nudging Ehvara back. She leaned away from Goldergon, scrutinizing Lucitius, her eyes flickering back and forth between the two worriedly.
Lucitius put a claw under Goldergon’s chin, meeting the creature’s frightened gold eyes with his own intense iridescent orbs.
“You understand what I have said? You must earn everything, and I am a harsh critic when I wish to be. Yet, I always allow others the chance to prove themselves. Do this, prove to me that you are more than a fiend upon the realms, and I vow to you that you will be rewarded.”
Goldergon stared for a long moment, stricken, then nodded. He looked at Ehvara, and she gently grabbed his hand with both of hers. Lucitius noted the surge of confusion and fear in Goldergon’s eyes as Ehvara grabbed his hand, but it quickly dissipated into something resembling affection. Goldergon wrapped Ehvara in a hug, and she coiled around him, rubbing his back.
“All lost travelers need a guide,”Lucitius hummed, thinking of his wife Synthia. A smile came to him and he turned to Asuka.
“If you have no other ideas of where to go, I believe I know someone that you would appreciate meeting.”
“For a ‘sane’ creature, you make no damn sense at all,”Mardicos sighed.
Lucitius looked at him.
“That is the beauty of chaos. Though, I admit I can be a bit too impulsive, at times. That is where Synthia, mine wife, and now Radiant, come in. Synthia has fought me numerous times, and I still have scars from those battles. I love her ever deeper for her reminders,”Lucitius cooed.
