Alita looked up at the sky and saw that the sun was rising and it was almost noon, she sighed and listened to her stomach growl, wishing she had eaten something or taking part of the deer instead of selling it and letting her mom take it for her siblings. Alita decided to go out and try to get a rabbit for lunch instead of asking her mom for food, but first she wanted to go for a swim in the lake.
Max set his book down, face book and open on the page he left off at. He stood up and was about to leave from the front door then realized his family wouldn't let him leave, he sighed and looked around, trying to think of ways to leave the house without his parents noticing.
Alita pulled off her jacket, socks, and boots and rolled up her pant legs, she waded into the water and was surprised at how warm it was, considering that it was already autumn. She waded farther into the water and finally dipped herself under, holding her breath as long as she could, still in her shirt and old hunting pants.
Max kept thinking, after a few minutes, he finally had an idea of what he could do. He put on his cloak and sneaked out of the basement, quietly walking out of the house. He sighed in relief when he managed to get out of his house and he walked into the forest again, trying to find the tree he was at earlier.
Alita finally came up for air and moved her wet hair out of her face. she waded back to shore and grabbed her clothes and decided to hunt on the ground. She walked farther into the woods and stopped at the base of the tree she usually hunted in to drop her clothes and weapons, her jacket, shoes and socks fell into the leaves and she put her knife back into the sheath and slung her bow over her back.
Max finally found the tree he was at earlier and he climbed onto it, he had a bird's eye-view of everything around him now. He rested his back on a branch that seemed to be sturdy as he sighed and looked around.
Alita hung her jacket from a branch and laid in the leaves, letting the sun dry her shirt before she put her jacket back on, she decided to leave her shoes and socks off for now and decided to climb into her hunting tree for a little bit. She pulled herself up to the first branch and sat there, letting her legs swing on either side of the branch and started humming to no one in particular.
The branch that Max's back was on snapped, making Max fall out of the tree. He fell to the ground and landed on his arm. "Ow, did I break my arm?" He mumbled, trying to move the arm he fell on, he silently hissed in pain and cursed himself for not being careful. His family was surely going to find out he left the house now.
Alita looked up when she heard a branch break and in the distance saw something big fall out of a tree, she scrambled down, grabbed her stuff and ran over in bare feet. When she got close she slowed down because she didn't want to scare whatever it, she tucked her jacket, socks and shoes under her arm and pulled out her knife "hello?" she said carefully.
Max looked up from he heard a voice and saw a woman, the same one from earlier. "Hey, I'm just a human. Don't try to kill me," He replied sarcastically.
"Don't worry, i wont try to kill you, if i wanted to, you'd already be dead," Alita grinned "I just wanted to see if you were ok," She set her clothes down and put her knife away, and looked at him "You are ok right?"
"Yep, just dandy," Max replied sarcastically. "Is what you thought I was going to say? I just fell out of a tree and broke my arm," He replied.
Alita nodded "I figured you'd say something along those lines," she stuck out her hand and bowed sarcastically "Alita carver, at your service."
"Cool, nice to meet you. Soo, are you going to do anything or are you going to waste my time?" Max asked.
"Well, i'm pretty good at wasting time… but i'll try to help, what do you need?" Alita stood back up and checked that her shirt was dry, she grabbed her jacket and put it back on but decided to leave her shoes off. she looked at him and tied her shoelaces together so she could carry her shoes easier.
"I don't need any help," Max answered, trying to get up but softly hissing in pain.
Alita sighed and looped her arm under his shoulder and pulled him up, "looks like you do," After she had helped him stand up she walked over to her shoes and slung them over her shoulder "well, need anything else Mr…." she looked over her shoulder as she talked and remembered he didn't say his name.
Max squeaked in surprise when he was pulled up by the girl and he immediately held onto her, not wanting to fall down again. "It's Max," He mumbled, blushing slightly.
"Nice to meet you Max," Alita giggled at his squeak and saw him blush, she giggled again and ended up blushing even though she tried not to.
(thats ok! see ya! also i won't be on much today, i have school)
"Nice to meet you Max," Alita giggled at his squeak and saw him blush, she giggled again and ended up blushing even though she tried not to.
"Nice to meet you too," Max mumbled, blushing in embarrassment when Alita giggled.
Alita looked at Max and smiled "so, where do you need to go?"
"Back to my house, without my family noticing…" Max grumbled, still blushing furiously.
"lead the way sir," Alita blushed and said "if you need to you can continue to hold onto my arm" she looked at him and giggled.
