Asa smiled some just a bit to herself, shifting a bit more so she was laying on the pillow. She hummed, eyes closed. She listened quietly what was going to on downstairs, close to falling asleep already.

This customer was a young woman who was just here to pick up an order for her grandmother, a long time client. Ashera actually remembered when she first started coming in for her arthritis. It took only a few minutes for the two to exchange pleasantries and the transaction. Once the young woman left, Ashera’s smile grew and she hurried quietly upstairs.
Asa was still curled up on the bed. She let out a little hum, head resting in her paws. She was breathing deeply, little trails of smoke coming out as she did. Her eyelids fluttered a bit when she heard Ashera coming, but they didn't open yet.
Not wanting to disturb the young Dragon, Ashera slowly and quietly opened the bedroom door before entering. She smiled at the adorable sight on her bed and joined her trying not to cause to much movement.
Asa let out a little rumble in the back of her throat when she felt someone join her. She opened one eye just to check, then closed it again. She shuffled just a bit closer to Ashera, moving her head to rest on the elf.
“It’s just me.” Ashera whispered, smiling softly at her sleepy friend. She hummed a little when Asa rested on top of heI and lightly ran her fingers down her back and between her wings.
Asa let out a soft purr, arching up just a bit into the touch. She nestled herself against Ashera securely, letting out a soft little sound of content. She didn't bother saying anything, content just to snuggle and nap.
Ashera smiled and held Asa close as she continued petting her. A small rest sounded pretty good to her too right now.
Asa tucked her head under Ashera's chin, a low purr rumbling in the back of her throat. All cuddled up like this, with Ashera patting her, it was easy as the small dragon slipped off to sleep at last…
Ashera giggled softly and closed her eyes as she continued stroking the dragon’s back, soon dozing lightly herself.
Asa slept peacefully, finally feeling safe. She hadn't had this feeling since she was with her mother, but even now it was different. It wasn't a bad difference, of course, but she didn't feel the same for Ashera as she did her mother.
Ashera wouldn't say that she was exactly maternal, but she certainly felt protective of the young halfling and refused to let anyone hurt or take her. She was confident that she would be able to use her magic would help keep Asa safe. At least as long as they stayed together.
Asa hummed in her sleep, letting out a little trills and hums. She pushed closer to Ashera, feeling content in her warm. The small dragon tucked her head against the elf.
Ashera smiled softly, only half asleep and enjoying the happy little sounds Asa was making. She gently held the young dragon girl close to her.
(feel free to do a time skip to when they wake up, if you want.)
(Yeee <3)
Asa was asleep for a good hour, her soft sounds of content continuing even after she awoke. Her eyes fluttered open as she looked around with a yawn.

Ashera only rested for thirty minutes, maybe a little longer. The soft sounds Asa made lulling her somewhere between sleep and awake since she wanted to hear them.
”Hello, sweetie.” she said softly when she noticed the little dragon wake up.
Asa hummed softly in response. For a moment, she forgot she was allowed to speak. When she did, though, she smiled ome.
"Hey… how long was I out?"
”About an hour.” she chuckled, stretching her arms over her head. ”Sleep well?” she hummed.
"Mhm…" Asa smiled. She stretched herself, wings unfolding as she yawned.
"Did you rest well too?"
”Oh, yes. It was very nice.” she smiled back, not moving to get up yet. ”I haven't had a nap like that in a long time.”
"Mm…" Asa nodded some, resting her head back on Ashera.
"Well, it's good you got one then. Naps are amazing…"
”Yes, they are.” Ashera nodded, draping her arm back over the young dragon. ”I don't know why people try to go all day without one.” she chuckled.
"Me either… I like to have two or three…" Asa nuzzled against Ashera, giggling some.
”Sleepyhead.” she teased, lightly kissing her nose. ”I think one is enough for me. Being a working girl and all.” she smiled.
