Asa curled her tail a little around Ashera's arm, thinking a moment.
"What they're called," she started, "and some of the things they're used for!"
Asa curled her tail a little around Ashera's arm, thinking a moment.
"What they're called," she started, "and some of the things they're used for!"
Ashera nodded as she walked out to her back garden. ”That’s easy enough to start with.” she agreed. She smiled at Asa for a moment before looking a little thoughtful. ”How about we make a game out of it? I'll pick a leaf from one plant and you try to guess what it is. When you guessed it correctly, I’ll tell you what I use it for.” she offered, her smile coming back brighter.
Asa grinned.
"Okay!" She absolutely loved games, especially ones that tested her mind.
Ashera giggled a little and knelt down next to the plants so Asa could sit beside her and to make picking easier. ”Ready?” she asked, picking a few leaves from the nearest plant. It was an easy enough one to start with.
(Hey, just thought I'd let you know; I’m going on a camping trip with my family later today and won't be back until the end of the month. I'll still try to get on and reply when I can, it just won't be very often.)
(Oh, okay! Make sure to have fun!)
Asa sat down next to Ashera, watching her pick from the plant.
"Um…" Asa thought a moment, trying to figure out the herb. "Basil?"
(Thanks! I will.)
Ashera nodded, smiling at her friend. ”Right!” she praised as she grabbed a few more branches to bring inside. ”There’s a lot of stuff that I use basil for. It's mostly used in cooking but I also gather the oil from it as part of a salve, mostly for bug bites or a toothpaste mixture.”
Asa nodded, grinning brightly. She let out a happy trill. She'd gotten it right!
"Oh, okay! That sounds about right!"
(I’m back!)
Ashera giggled happily at the sound and gave Asa a few gentle pets once she finished picking some of the basil. ”It has a lot of other uses too but if you're ready for the next plant…” she smiled. ”Though the smell might give it away.”
(bump)
(hi do you guys care if I join because im bored, kinda stuck in school so yeah.)
(Well… Honestly, I thought this was a OxO RP… But if Swimmy says it's ok, I don't mind.)
(Ah, okay, I'm back with a response!)
(And @VictoriaIsWeird101, this is in fact an oxo, but if you're interested we could rp? Just an offer!)
Asa leaned forward to sniff the herb, quickly pulling her nose away and turning to sneeze a bit.
"Peppermint?" She asked, running at her nose a bit with both of her paws.
”Yes.” Ashera nodded, raising a brow at the cute sneeze. ”Are you alright? You're not allergic to anything, are you?” She had noticed before that when Asa was exploring her garden the first time, she avoided certain plants if they had made her sneeze.
"No, I'm not allergic," Asa assured. "The smell is just really really strong." She giggled a bit.
”Oh, ok.” Ashera giggled, relieved but feeling a little silly for getting so worried.
Asa grinned, her wings fluttering.
"What's peppermint used for? Besides breath mints." Asa giggled again.
Ashera nodded, smiling softly. ”Well, it's really the oil that has all the benefits. Aside from helping with bad breath, it can also be used for skin treatments and helping with headaches and colds.”
"Oh, wow…" Asa examined the herb in Ashera's hands, eyes wide and grinning brightly.
Ashera laughed a little and gathered up some more of the herb. ”You’re really good at this.” she told Asa.
Asa grinned.
"Thank you! I'm really trying me best!"
”Well, your best knows herbs very well so far.” Ashera smiled at her. ”You ready for one a little more challenging?” she asked, holding up another leaf.
Asa sniffed the leaf again, sitting back a bit ti=o think.
"Is it… orega- orega- Oregon?"
Ashera giggled at the pronunciation and shook her head. ”I think you mean oregano, sweetie.” she gently corrected the young Dragon. ”But if that's your guess, you're right again.” she smiled.
Asa blushed faintly, scales turning out a bit. She laughed lightly at herself, burying her snout in her paws.
"I was close!" She said of the pronunciation.
