(i promise i'll get one up in a bit)
(It's all good)
Cassia had shied away back into the room. Whatever dark business these two were a part of she didn't want anything to do with it. "I want EVERYTHING," she demanded. "You can't leave anything behind. In return, I'll tell you mine." Again, muttering under her breath, she said, "Not like I have much to hide anyways."
Sebastian heard Cassia and jogged back. "Cassia?" He poked his head around the door. "You ok?"
"You gotta tell me everything," her eyes were hardened, and emotionless. Bottling up all her emotions, tossing them aside.
(I'm just going to…)
There was a pause of silence, anyone who cared to listen closely would here the soft giggles of a child. If one were to look up you could just make out the form of a young girl ,around 8 years, dangling upside down form the support beams in the ceiling. She liked the winged one, her feathers were such a pretty color.
Sebastian sighed. "I will. All that I know." He walked in and sat on one of the only stood up tables in the room. "This is a lab, as you can see. Sunny and I were from two separate corporations. She left hers and is now in mine. This lab has certain creatures in it that are out to kill us. I used to be able to control them but I haven't tried in years. We got thrown in here, I don't know why. But I don't quite trust Sunny, she hasn't made sense at some points. The Hades Corporation, her old one, are out to kill me and will kill me on sight. And there used to be a body in this room but there isn't now. Anything else you want to know?"
Sebastian sat up at the laugh. "What was that?" He seemed oddly panicked.
"What's what?" The girl replied swinging back and forth, "I didn't here anything except the screams of the person who just walked into the room with the creature, I can't tell if they're dead or not, to far away.". Her voice seemed oddly out of place, such a young voice talking causally about death would put anyone on edge.
I get up, wiping the tears away from my face. I see the monster but it doesn't attack. That's not good, I scream.
Seb stood quickly and pulled a gun from thin air, pointing it a the the young girl.
"Leave the girl alone… for now," Cassia ordered. "First off, who are you and why are you here?" she demanded, looking up at the girl in the rafters.
Seb tentatively put the gun down but kept holding it just in case. "Fine. I won't shoot her. Yet." He growled, sitting back down.
I run past the figure in the doorway, I know it's chasing after me but I'm too far ahead. I run into the lab room we started in and slam the door behind me, holding it closed. Cassia and Sebastian look at me with confusion. "So the good news is, the monster's tamed, the bad news is I didn't tame it. Someone else is here and-" I see that Matt's body is gone from the table. "And I think I just found out who the person is…" How is this possible!
(Imma gonna make a bad guy character)
Sebastian caught Sunny's eyes, swore loudly and went to guard the hidden door at the back. "Tell us." He said to her.
At that moment, there came a polite knock at the main doors.
"I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and assume it's Matt, the body that was lying in here! The corp set me up! I contacted your people and they are on their way. DO NOT open the door Seb, they will kill both you and I on-site and Cass will become an experiment again!" I beg him to guard the doors.
"Look, Sunny, or whoever you are, who's Matt? And why do you suddenly care about whether I'm just the test subject or not?" Cassia crossed her arms, unwilling to trust. Sebastian had already opened up to her, but Sunny still hadn't told her all she knew.
Seb nodded.
"Was that its name?" A voice from the corner said. A young man of around 16, maybe 17, sat casually on the table.
Cassia instantly turned to face him. "Don't play dumb. I'm pretty sure you know exactly what's going on. Now, I want you to explain to me every single detail, or you will regret it," she demanded, taking a step closer. A tremor shivered down her wings, a side effect of her nervousness and anxiety.
"Fuck!" I mutter under my breath. "You can come out of the shadows now!"
"You're quick to threaten someone you've never met." The new kid hissed. He looked bored and ultimately rather amused. "You have all been very fun to watch but I think we should move it up a notch, hm?" He said, snapping his fingers and disappearing in a small flash of light. As soon as he disappeared, a roar came from outside, followed by the shriek of something definitely not human.
"Are you fucking kidding me!" I know that sound anywhere. "We are safe as long as we don't open the doors!" I tap my foot and Sebastian moves away from the door, holding his hand in pain. "Oh yeah, I should have mentioned the handles would get hot while I do this… oops! Cassia, I was wrong, that was the body, and he thinks I'm on his side, Matt doesn't know I've left the Corporation so I have to play bad guys for a bit, keep out of trouble you two." I reveal the piece of paper and hand it to Sebastian. "If I'm not back in an hour, these are the instructions on how to get out of here, the protection around this room will wear off so you can leave!" I snap my own fingers and I'm outside, with Matt.
The kid appeared again. "Did she tell you I'm from the Hades Corp?" He smiled, but it wasn't a happy smile. More maniacal. "She's wrong. I'm Lique by the way. Hades Corp has almost nothing to do with this. It was all me." He waved his hand vaguely at the doors. "There! You're free to go. Also you can't trust her. She may be double crossing you and you'd never know." He disappeared again.
Seb shivered. Lique gave him cheshire cat vibes. Definitely not sane. "What do we do?" He whispered to Cassia, not daring to speak any louder.
"I can hear you!" I know they don't trust me. "You have the instructions on how to get out… just go." I leave them there and walk further into the lab.
