Cassie was not amused, snapping her fingers in Ashlyn's face. "My eyes are up here sweetie." Then someone was calling her name and she sighed, turning away and going to figure out what she was needed for.
Cassie was not amused, snapping her fingers in Ashlyn's face. "My eyes are up here sweetie." Then someone was calling her name and she sighed, turning away and going to figure out what she was needed for.
Ash laughed a bit before walking away to go see if there was anything she could do or help with
Rehearsal continued on and Cassie was already running around like a mad woman. The joys of being the stage manager. She eventually ended up on stage, fixing some things as the cast continued on their readings.
Ash was back stage talking to a few people before she looked over and saw Cassie and started walk over to her "hey Cassie, anything I can help with? "
Cassie barely spared her a glance. "Aren't you supposed to be doing something? Like actually acting? And not bothering me?" Well, the theater didn't pay her to be nice.
"Which is why I asked what you wanted me to do, " she said chuckling a bit and crossed her armsb
"What I want you to do and what you're going to do regardless of what I say are two very different things." Cassie deadpanned. "Just stay out of my way."
"Sure thing. " as ash started walking away she turned back around to face Cassie all called out "ya know your never gonna make any friends if you keep acting like that. " and with that she walked away with a smirk on her face
"Bold of you to assume I want friends." She called after her before returning to her work. She didn't have the time or energy to deal with someone like her.
"Life's boring without friends sweetness. "
"Life's less stressful without friends, sweetie. Not all of us want people around."
"Well then your gonna hate me. " she walked over to Cassie an plopped her ass down on the stage "I think I'm gonna follow you around today " she said with a bright smile
"You're the lead, dumbass. You can't do that. Unlike me, the cast actually needs you to do their job. If you ditch and leave us without a show, none of the crew gets paid. Then we're all gonna have a problem."
(I think I'm annoying myself with this character lol)
"Well maybe you should be nicer to me then I wouldn't have to go out of my way."
(I kinda love her)
"They don't pay me to be nice. They pay me to do my job just as they expect you to do yours."
(Well thank you that makes me feel better lol)
"And what exactly is your job Cassie what do you do?"
"You really weren't listening, were you. I'm the stage manager, I manage the stage and everyone on it. I handle the crew, all the props and sets and any other possible items that goes through backstage."
"And you said the cast doesn't need you to do their job? " she arched her brow looking at Cassie
"They don't. They need me so that have something to do with their job. An actor doesn't need a theater to be an actor. They need a theater to be a successful actor."
"Uh huh…. Ya know your a very interesting person Cassie."
Cassie paused in her work to look as Ashlyn. "Is there a problem? Or do you just insist on emphasizing my name to remind yourself of what it is."
"I'm simply making sure I don't upset you again. "
Cassie raised an eyebrow at her with a dead expression. "Yeah, I wouldn't say I'm upset. But now you're getting on my nerves which is worse."
"I've been told I'm rather charming do you not agree? " she asked snickering
Cassie rolled her eyes and turned back to her work. "I'm not even going to entertain that with an answer."
