Erin looked amused. "I'm not quite dedicated enough to live with a complete stranger, I'm afraid. I'll try to visit every day though… to make up for it."

"Oh thank god." Relief coursed through Elowan's veins and she felt hope in her heart. Plan 'Escape to a bar before she gets here' was a go. "I don't think I have the room to house you."

@Ervie

"Well if you cleaned up the place a bit, I think you would find that there is more space than you think in here." Erin was eyeing the beer bottles, an irritated look on her face.

Deleted user

"Beer bottles don't change the fact that I've only got one bedroom." Elowan hopped up off the couch to grab a beer and send each of her friends some 'I hate you' and "How could you do this?' texts before she sulked back into the living room.

"Shower me in cash, buy me a Porsche, let me murder my friends… I can keep going." Elowan snarked, taking a sip of her drink with a frown. She actually didn't know what a hired help was supposed to do other than keep her out of trouble.

"Well don't go adding limitations now. I was just about to ask you to buy me a tiger." Elowan gave Erin the most poisonous smile she could muster. "But if you want doable a snake would be fine."

@Ervie

She considered the request seriously for a moment. "Would you actually feed the snake?" she asked. "I wouldn't want to kill an innocent snake just because you didn't think I would actually get you one. And what would you do with a snake anyway?"

Deleted user

Elowan felt her eyes light up despite her gloom. It seemed like Erin was seriously considering her joking request, which was sounding cooler and cooler the longer she thought about it. She really wanted a snake, just didn't have the time to get one. Except, she had been made of time lately. "Duh, I'd feed it. And what do you do with a pet? I'd play with it and shit. Watch it eat dead rats."

Deleted user

"Uh-uh, sister." Elowan dashed the idea of a pet to pieces in her mind because she owed enough people enough favors already. The last thing she needed was another thing someone could hold over her head. Besides, she could always get a snake herself. She wasn't three, adult permission was completely unnecessary. "I'll buy a snake by myself, thanks."

@Ervie

"All right. Get your own snake. Or tiger, if you want." Erin wasn't going to fight over whether or not Elowen could get her own snake. "You could even go now, if you wanted to. Find the nearest pet store."

Deleted user

"Nope." Like hell this stranger was going to stay in Elowan's house- alone- where she could do God knew what to Elowan's things. On the TV a lion killed a zebra. National Geographic was more bloody than she remembered. Not that she was complaining. "I'll do it when you're gone."

@Ervie

"If you are worried about me being here alone, I could go with you to the store. That way you could do… something else after I leave."

Elowan rolled her eyes. She had been planning to hang out with Hollyn and Sequoia, but that went out the window the second she learned about Erin's existence. Still, it would take up time. Get Erin away from anything she might mess up. "Fine. Let's go." She shoved herself off the couch. "You drove here, right?"

@Ervie

"Yup." Erin stood up and stretched her arms over her head. "Should probably start walking here though. Good exercise." She yawned, bringing her arms back to her sides. "I don't live too far away anyway."

Deleted user

Elowan shot her an 'I don't recall asking' glare and stepped out the door. The pet store was like half a mile away, and while she was willing to walk it, she wasn't thrilled to do it. "Fine. Let's get going."

@Ervie

"I was talking about me walking here every day, but walking to the store is fine too." She opened the front door. "After you."

Elowan tromped outside, feeling a bit insulted that the day was perfect. Warm and mild, with a pleasant breeze blowing through. It should be freezing and cold and as bitter outside as she was outside. "Follow me."

@Ervie

"All right." Erin followed her out, closing the door behind her. "You got a key or something? Wouldn't want you to be robbed."

Deleted user

Elowan snorted. This neighborhood was full of kids who knew her parents, nobody would dare rob her. Still, she pulled the key off her necklace- where it was sitting under her shirt- and locked the door. "Yup."

Elowan glared at the sun before she set off, turning her thoughts from anger at things she couldn't change to thinking about what kind of snake she'd like. Something huge, creepy, and scary enough to keep people she didn't like away. "Best kind of snake, go."
