Name: Simone Bennett
Age: 20
Gender: female
Sexuality: pansexual
Magical Ability: Earth manipulation (if she uses her power too much, her skin starts to crack like dry dirt and she gets sluggish)
Appearance: black frizzy hair pulled back with a headwrap, dark brown eyes, light brown skin, wide shoulders, a rectangular body shape with little curves, and is 5'5" (https://pin.it/tuacwunj5sytb2)
Personality: She is very socially awkward and hesitant to talk to new people, but she also loves to be around people and in large crowds. She tends to keep her opinions to herself, afraid that people won't agree with her and might shame her or worse.
Other: She never knew her father, but Simone did grow up in a small apartment with her loving mother. Her mother had the same magic as her, and as she grew up her mom helped her learn to control her ability. One day, when she was 17, she came home from school to find her apartment empty. She waited for weeks for her mother to return, but she didn't. Simone assumed her mother was dead. Since then, she has been living in the same apartment by herself, struggling to make ends meet with her small salary as a diner chef.
If no one else posts their character soon, then sure!

Simone shakily took the empty plates and stacked them on the trey before carrying them to the backroom to get washed. The diner was short on wait staff today, so she begrudgingly offered to be a waitress.
There was a reason Simone stayed in the back as a chef. It was fun to talk to all of the customers and learn about their lives, but it exhausted her so much. Besides, she missed the hustle and bustle of the kitchen on slow days like this.
Simone sighed as she readied her notepad and lingered awkwardly towards the front of the diner, waiting for the next customer.
Murphy woke up to the beautiful sight of dust. Dust flowing and drifting from who knows where catching the hazy light, in an orchestra of movement. God, what time is it? He tried to move but was quickly stopped by the agonizing pang of distress, coming from his side. "Gah!" Murphy winced, his face twisting into stress.
Last night's fight had ruled him victorious once again but brought upon him the everpresent and excruciating pain that took his body. …Another day, another battle.
"Pain is good." He said out loud to himself, repeating his personal trainer's words.
Ashlyn woke up abruptly not knowing where she was. It took her a few minutes to fully remember that she was visiting her aunt's friends in the city. She got out of bed and looked out the window.
Bill sighed as he started restocking the shelves of the pasta section with boxes of Kraft Mac & Cheese, bags and boxes of spaghetti and other types of pastas. He hummed happily as he moved down the aisle putting can of tomato sauce in their right place and doing other stuff. Once in a while costumers would approach him to ask where a certain food item was or in what aisle it was in. Bill looked up as the speaker said; “Clean up on aisle four.” He sighed and headed to aisle four but not before stopping at the janitors room. Once he arrived he looked at the mess that someone had made.
Yep, today will be another crummy day. .
Alex had gotten up and was moving already. She was having a steady gender day and thanked whatever lord was up there for that. She decided that she was way too lazy to actually make herself food and was heading over to a diner she had spotted earlier in the week. She stepped in with a slight smile brushing her bangs out from her face.
She saw a diner on the corner of the street and her stomach growled. She got dressed quickly and walked to it.
Simone plastered her best waitress-smile on her face as she greeted the new customer. "Hello! Just one?" She asked, grabbing a menu from the basket beside her.
Ashlyn walked into the diner and yawned, still half-asleep.
Alex gave the waitress a nice smile and nodded, "Yep. Just little ol' me."
She nodded slightly, staring for an awkward five seconds before silently leading the new customer to their table just as the bell at the front door rang, signifying that another person had arrived. "Here's your table." She said simply, setting down the menu before quickly shuffling to the front of the diner again.
She looked around the diner paying attention to the details. She yawned yet again.
Alex took the menu and started to look through it noticing others stepping through the door. She felt bad for the waitress considering the diner was starting to pick up speed.
Just as Simone was about to greet the new customer, the sound of shouting from the kitchen caught her attention. At first, it seemed like a casual argument, but then the voices got louder. The sound of plates and silverware hitting the floor made her jump. She turned back to the customer. "Uh…I'm sorry about that. I guess they just-"
BANG!
The kitchen door slammed open as one of the chefs, the one that had started working at the diner yesterday, sprinted into the diner. Blood was trickling from a small cut in his forehead. A few seconds later, a second person came out of the kitchen; a woman in a police uniform. The chef looked back at her and held out his hand, shooting small bolts of lightning out of his fingers. The bolts hit the woman as she fell to the ground, her head slamming against the cold tile floor. Simone gasped in shock as the man ran out of the diner.
Somebody tapped Bill on the shoulder and he turned around. He saw one of his fellow colleagues standing in front of him. He gave Bill a folder and Bill looked at it confused.
“What’s this?”
The man in front of Bill shuffled his feet and sighed. “Boss said you’re fired.”
Bill frowned and ran straight to Mr. Snyder office, the store manager and owner of the grocery shop. He kicked open the door which made the Snyder flinch.
“What’s the meaning of this‽” Bill said as he put down the folder on his desk.
Snyder one look at it and then looked at Bill. “You’re fired. Didn’t Edward tell you?”
Bill opened his mouth and then closed it. He didn’t know what to say.
“Well, then. .” He took off his apron and threw it to Snyder. He grabbed the folder and left the grocery shop, furious.
Alex shot up as the man shot out of the diner. She felt a feral growl start to slip out as her form wavered, but she kept as herself. This was the type of legislation and law enforcement her parents wanted to keep hell maybe make it stricter. She kept it all in but made no move to help anyone since whatever she did would affect her parents. She knew that much, the news already had pinned her has a rebel child.
Simone stared blankly at the woman on the ground, unsure what to do. "Um…alright everyone please stay calm…" She said quietly, her voice shaking more and more with every word.
That man was a magic user. Did he hurt the woman in self-defense, or was he the first to strike? Did the woman find out about his magic and try to arrest him? If so, how did she find out? Was this diner being watched? Was Simone in danger?
Alex looked at the waitress and saw her shaking. She let out a slight sigh and watched the interaction before stepping towards the waitress, "How about you? Do you need any help?"
