@Uh.Yeah.I.Sure.HOPE.It.Does!
Layla leaped out of the water and backed up, bumping into Kelton and Tao. "Sorry!"
Layla leaped out of the water and backed up, bumping into Kelton and Tao. "Sorry!"
"No, no!" he seems to be cought up in a flashback of sorts. noo, stop! dont touch me! he screams in his mind
"I'll be fine," Tao waved it off. He was startled when someone ran into him, "It's fine, really!" Well, at lease he got a bit of water now.
Marcus stood up, watching Avery and Jordan. What's wrong with him?
"Hey!" Jordan snarls and he did the first thing that came to his mind. He ducked out to the front of Avery and slapped him as hard as he could before the hybrid could fall benieth the water
Layla was horrified and amazed at what had happened in just the past hour. She couldn't handle it much longer. She turned and looked with terror in her sweet brown eyes at Tao, nose twitching like crazy and then she ran off.
"I'll be fine," Tao waved it off. He was startled when someone ran into him, "It's fine, really!" Well, at lease he got a bit of water now.
Kelton was startled when someone ran into him, "It's fine." He muttered and turned towards Tao again, "Okay then, if you ever need water or anything like that, tell me." He said.
The hyena hybrid screams, a loud scream that can only be defined as a banshees scream "Let me go!" he shouts after his scream, still thrashing "I WONT GO BACK!"
Layla could hear the screaming in the distance and fell to the ground, curling into a ball and covering her ears.
"AVERY!" Jordan was holding him up by his shoulders. He looks around then spots Marcus, "Help us!"
"ANGEL!" his anguished yell came, along with another banshee scream
Tears streamed down Layla's face. She couldn't help but think of how worried her mom would be. With the hybrid escaping from the zoo and then her not coming home. She worried she wouldn't make it home to reassure her.
Jordan didnt know what to do. He held Avery close to him in a slight hug, "STOP!"
And what in the world had happened to her father? Had he died? left? Been taken by hybrids? Was he a hybrid? Then it struck her. Her agility, her weird habits. She was the hybrid. Her father was a bunny.
Avery relaxed in the embrace "Angel, your back!" he murmmers
Jordan relaxes, panting slightly, "Huh?"
Layla stood up. She looked at her feet and hands. They sure LOOKED human. But maybe she wasn't completely human after all. She had to help the others, Layla decided. They were her new family.
"Angel, i missed you. where were you? why did you leave me big brother?" he muttered still caught up in a daydream? nightmare? flashback?
Jordan sighs and looks back at the shore. He slowly starts swimming toward it.
Tao watched the whole thing quietly, glancing at Kelton with a confused look from time to time.
Layla ran back to them, wiping the tears as she took her long, leaping strides. She came back to where they were. Looking at the scene before her she was suddenly unsure. Should she tell them that she's a hybrid too? Could she trust them?
Marcus runs over to where Jordan was heading, and waits for him to get closer, then he gently asks, "I-is he okay?"
"I dunno! He went berserk!" Jordan drags Avery up to the shore
Layla came out from the woods cautiously and approached Marcus and Jordan. "Is Avery gonna be okay?"
Layla attempted to help Jordan drag Avery ashore.
