@PuffPoff

(ah sorry guys I'm here! great job starting by the way!)

@PuffPoff

Morgan's ponytail waved around behind her, moving along with the wind. She saw most of the others huddled around the front of the large boat that would send them to their death. They were about half way to the island now and the coastline had disappeared completely. There was only open ocean to the left and right and a small shadow of an island up ahead.
She had heard about what happened to people on this island. They were sent to their deaths to fight and the winner was…well, her grandmother hadn't told her that yet. Morgan could only assume that this was the government's way of population control. She sighed, looking out at the waves, wishing that she could jump off. She smiled just thinking about it, but she was smarter than that. Morgan had heard stories about what happened to people who tried to escape their impending death. The sea was filled with creatures that could swallow a grown man in one bite. The reason that the boat they were currently on wasn't getting attacked is because of some material the boat is made of that repels the ocean creatures…or something like that.

"Hey!" Eve shouted to the guard at the back watching over them. "When are we getting off this boat?" She shouted, hoping they wouldn't be getting off the boat soon so she could try to talk to the others before the boat ride ended. Eve wanted to try to make a few more friends with some of these new people; she really did like the two girls she'd met already today.

@PuffPoff

The guard ignored the girl who had yelled at her. Morgan looked over at the girl. She walked over to the front of the boat where everyone else was. Looking out at the ocean, she responded. "About fifteen minutes."

"How can you tell?" Eve asked the mysterious girl who had moved towards her. She turned back to the guard again, "Thank for the help!" She yelled sarcastically, muttering "Jerk," under her breath. Eve looked back at this new girl, "Are we really THAT close to the island?" she questioned.

@PuffPoff

Morgan nodded. "They let us off on a dock about a hundred feet off the island." She looked at the girl, realizing how confused she was. "My great great grandfather escaped the island during his trial. That's why they put the creatures in the ocean now. He documented all of the things that happened when he was there."

@PuffPoff

Morgan shook her head. "He created a boat and rowed his way back to the mainland. They added monsters and other things in the ocean to prevent people from leaving." She chuckled. "In less you can make an airplane, we're not leaving this island."

@Becfromthedead group

Loki drew closer, intrigued by the idea that maybe there really was a way to escape the island. He didn't exactly like the thought of dying this young.

"Maybe I will build an airplane then." Eve said, a glimmer of mystery in her eyes. "If we really wanted to, we could be capable of much more than what we actually accomplish in life." she stated confidently. Eve turned to look at the rest of the group, noticing some had turned their heads to listen, and one even drew closer, a look of hope and wonder in his dark brown eyes.

@Becfromthedead group

"As crazy as it sounds, you're right. That- that might not be the way, but there is a way. There's always a way if you just look for an opportunity," Loki said when Eve looked over at him.

@PuffPoff

Morgan laughed. "Yeah, you keep thinking that." She focused on the island in the distance. "I've heard the stories about what happens there. You'll be lucky to even find edible food." She hated to bring down the mood, but it was true. These people needed to understand what was happening.

@Neon_Gravestones_Try_To_Call_For_My_Bones-(It's MK)

"You don't need food to survive this island. All you really need is the right group to get things done. They made the mistake of choosing me to go." Eve replied, "They should've learned their lesson from the last time they tried to punish my family. I'm not going down without trying to escape." She said, a little louder, hoping to see some sign that the guards were paying attention and knew that she wasn't to be messed with.

@PuffPoff

Morgan grinned. "I like you. You're thinking the right way." She admired the girl's determination. Morgan held out her hand. "I'm Morgan Westcott. What's your name?" She tightened her ponytail, finally making eye contact with the other girl.

@Neon_Gravestones_Try_To_Call_For_My_Bones-(It's MK)

"Eve Marrow's the name. Don't wear it out." Eve replied with a chuckle, trying again to make another person laugh and ease the tension. She took the girls hand and shook it with a determined smile, finally getting this new girl, Morgan, to meet her gaze. "How hard do you think it'll be to get the other on board with finding a way to escape?" she asked with a cocky smile

@PuffPoff

Morgan's smile grew. "I like the way you think." She looked around at the other teens. "Some of them are here to fight. You have to watch out for them. I say we can get at least…all of those guys." She pointed to a group by the front of the boat. "And also that guy that's been listening in on our conversation. Morgan turned around to face the stranger (Loki).

@Becfromthedead group

"I'm Loki Wolff," he replied, accepting Eve's handshake. He continued, "But naturally, we do need to stay on high alert. It'll take quite some work to not get attacked and have to fight our way out."

@PuffPoff

Morgan nodded. "That's true. I say we team up with some of the other teens and gather supplies as soon as we reach the island. We won't attack or leave until we all have the proper equipment."

@Becfromthedead group

"A bigger group would be nice," Loki agreed, "but we have to be careful with distributing power to make decisions and we have to make sure we pick the right people so we aren't deceived."

@PuffPoff

Morgan leaned back against the side of the boat. "How can I trust you two?" She asked, crossing her arms. The two seemed pretty trustworthy, but it was best to make sure.

@Neon_Gravestones_Try_To_Call_For_My_Bones-(It's MK)

"True," said Eve, rubbing her chin in thought. "I'm pretty sure Beta and Sarah would want to be a part of the escape efforts." she thought aloud, weighing all their options in this important decision. She knew if they chose the wrong person, they could all end up dead rather than at home with their families
