“What did I miss?” Beta asked.
“What did I miss?” Beta asked.
“Stuff. A fight.”
"And Loki is hurt." Eve continued, kind of cutting Lena off a little bit.
"Barely," Loki added for reassurance. He was a little embarrassed that he, as the one who tried to make peace and avoid the fight was the one who was hurt.
“Fun.” Beta said sarcastically. “You ok?” She asked Loki.
Lena sighed and continued fiddling with her knife.
"Yeah, I'm more shaken than anything," Loki admitted, "I tried to offer the guy food, and he threw a knife at me."

“Any idea who he was?”
"Lena's step-brother," Loki said, "I don't know anything else about him."
"He just came up and basically threatened Morgan. That's really how the whole fight happened." Eve said
"That's true," Loki added, "I don't think there was much real action. I mean… he threw a knife at me, they fought a little… I'm pretty sure I was the only one left with physical damage."
"Which reminds me, you need to sit down Loki. You keep moving around and you're going to make the wound worse." Eve told the boy as she put the bandage over the wound.
“His name’s Dustin. Dustin Margen. My birth dad died just after I was born, and my mom married Dustin’s dad about a year later. Since we were the same age, we always got lumped together and just kind of grew up as best friends. He got a job with the government just before I got sent here, and I have no idea what he’s doing in this damned arena. That wasn’t like him at all,” Lena said miserably, finally looking up.
