Lena sighed, trapped in this situation now. She reached for a branch and shook it, hoping it sounded like something was running.
Morgan nodded, agreeing. "Don't kill them yet. We might find more allies." She climbed up another branch and jumped across to the other tree. She put her finger to her lips and crept towards the person.
"Okay, now they're just shaking the branch. I have a feeling whoever it is isn't a threat. If they had a weapon, they'd probably have shot back at the tree or something," Loki whispered.
She heard a thud as someone jumped and pulled one of the knives out, holding it in front of her. Back against the trunk, she stood up, fully prepared to fight someone off.
Morgan pulled out her pocket knife and crept towards the girl she saw through the leaves. She jumped down another branch and pointed her knife at the girl.
Lena stared evenly at the girl who landed on a nearby branch. “Hey,” she muttered, knife still up.
Morgan kept her knife up, still ready to attack. "What's your business? You interested in killing me?"
Loki held his breath. He could hear voices in the other tree, and wasn't sure whether peace was being made or aggression was imminent.
“Well, I’m sorry, but I wasn’t the one throwing rocks at you.”
//sorry for late replies, my connection isn’t great right now
"Well I'm sorry, but I don't know if you've heard but there are people on the island ready to kill me so I'm sorry if I get paranoid." Morgan pointed her knife at the girl's head. "What do you want?"
“Uhm, ice cream would be nice but I’m guessing you can’t deliver that. A knife not pointed at me would also be nice,” She retorted.
Morgan glared, moving the knife closer to the girl's throat. "You know what I mean. What do you want?"
“If you have ice, I’lol take that. Something cold and edible,” she glared back, trying to avoid looking side to side. She didn’t want the girl to know she was nervous. Noticing the knife’s proximity, she lifted hers to match.
(Sorry I'm late guys, I'm back now XD)
Eve followed Morgan into the tree to see her pointing her knife at a terrified looking girl. "Morgan!" she shout-whispered. "Calm down! If she wanted to attack us, she would've by now." she tried to reason with Morgan, stepping closer to the new girl with her hands up to show she had no weapons. "Can you tell us what you were doing following us?" Eve asked soothingly.
Morgan didn't drop her knife, but she did wait for the girl to respond to Eve.
“Drop the act,” she hissed at Eve. “I wasn’t following you, I happened to be here.”
Loki was surprised when Eve got up to go in the neighboring tree, too. He changed his angle sitting on the branch and could see the edge of he scene.
"What's going on?" he asked, "Do you know her?"
Morgan pushed the knife closer. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now."
“Cause murder is bad,” she snickered, lowering her knife and leaning back, doing her best to act calm.
"What act?" Eve asked, thoroughly confused now. "Besides, you WERE following us, otherwise why would we have heard you moving in the tree behind us?" she continued, getting defensive without meaning to. Turning back to Loki she replied, "No but I'm trying to prevent as many deaths as possible. It's best not to get caught up in that stuff."
She chuckled. "That's not a good reason." Morgan moved the knife closer and it was only a few inches away from the girl's neck.
“See, even your friend agrees. Murder is bad. Besides, you were in THAT tree, and I came from THIS direction,” she said, pointing to their tree in front of her and then behind her.
//I’be gtg now and I probably won’t be back for awhile. Bye :(
"Drop the act." Eve said, mimicking what the girl had told her before. "We both know you're not in a good situation right now, so stop trying to act as though we couldn't end your life right now." she growled, pulling her knife out from her pocket.
Loki wanted to break up the tension, so he finally spoke up.
"Look, we're not trying to kill anyone. If we wanted to, I would've hit you with those rocks, or she would've already slit your throat. And clearly, if she'd wanted to, Morgan, she would've pushed you out of the tree."
