Loki made sure to climb the tree last. He carefully pulled himself up the branches behind the girls.

Beta ran through the forest looking for who she hoped was whistling back at her.
Morgan spotted Beta running through the forest below them. She whistled again.
Beta stopped at the sound of a whistle, and turned around. She spotted something in a tree. She whistled once more to make sure it was them.
Morgan whistled back, waving to Beta on the forest floor.
Lena hopped into a nearby tree. She knew it was a abad idea, but still decided to watch the group.
Loki, hyper-aware of his surroundings, heard the nearby tree rustle. He looked in Lena's direction, but he couldn't see her through the branches and leaves, which was concerning, since he was certain he'd heard something.
Sarah climbed up the tree where she then could install herself and keep an eye to guard their Safe Zone
"I… thought I heard something…" Loki whispered, "Maybe it was just an animal."
Morgan nodded. "Keep an eye out. We want to be careful."
Sarah turned towards Loki, "Where did you heard the noise?" She asked with concern
Loki pointed in the general direction of the tree Lena was hiding in. He told her he'd heard the rustling of leaves.
Sarah looked where Loki pointed and try to focus, "what if we throw a rock or something? that way we'll know if its an animal or a person" Sarah suggested
"Okay. I've got this." Loki found a hollow spot in the tree, where a bird had taken a smooth, light rock and nesting materials and abandoned them. He pulled himself up a little more and threw the rock at the other tree as hard as he could.
"Nice shot" Sarah whispered, hoping that her hypothesis of the rock was right
Lena flinched away from the thud, immediately regretting her decision. The leaves rustled a little more.
Morgan crouched down. "Someone's hiding. Throw another rock."
Loki could see the leaves rustle this time, but he still couldn't tell whether it was from a human or an animal.
She heard another sound, one that was almost like a voice, and decided that she hated her life and every decision that led her to this point in time.
//so I think I said at one point that she got a backpack. And I’m gonna let you guys decide what’s In it, cause I don’t want my decision to be influenced by her situation lmao. What’s in it?
(uhh idk you can really choose anything as long as it's not super over powered)
Lena decided this would be a good a time as any to see what was in the bag. Doing her best to be silent, she carefully unzipped it and peered inside. It contained a water bottle and three ourifying tablets, a pair of knives, and a thin blanket. She sighed and continued watching the other tree.
At that moment, Loki threw a second rock. He hoped that it really was just an animal.
She had been half expecting it, but twitched anyways, knocking a small nut to the ground.
"It's another person," Loki concluded, "Or a really stupid animal. If it were an animal, it should've fled."
Loki stared at the tree.
