"Looks like I don't have to do much telling." Oliver let the smile drop off his face. "Guess it's sort of hard to lie to someone who studies human psychology." He joked weakly.

"Studied. I graduated a few years back." Dove had a firm look on her face, "You have to go deal with the cause of your pain. Let's visit Briar."
"Or we could not do that." Oliver suggested, an innocent look on his face. "Maybe get some food? Take a nap?"
Dove raised an eyebrow, "I don't think you want to take a nap with me."
Natalie sat back and breathed a sigh of relief. The internal bleeding wasn't as bad as she thought. This kind of internal bleeding would correct itself in a second.
“Well..excuse me if I didn’t know I would be puking up my DNA!” Briar groaned, squeezing her eyes shut. The pain in her stomach was dull a lot of the time, but became sharp whenever she vomited
(XD I've been looking up all of this medical stuff)
"No! No, that's not what I meant!" He blushed. "But can we put this off for just a little while?"
Natalie gave her an annoyed look. "Didn't you learn about internal bleeding when you went to med school????????"
"Why?" the question was so simple. And so overlooked, but Dove found that it was essential to her patients; even when they wouldn't answer truthfully.
"Because…" Oliver fumbled for the right words. "Because I um…" Oliver looked at the ground and sighed.
“Uh..Yeah. But I never thought..I would have it..if that kid wasn’t trying to be another Jake Paul clone, taking his selfie or whatever, I wouldn’t be on the verge of death!” Okay, she exaggerated a little on that last point. Jake Paul really got on Briar’s nerves for reasons that were well known by anyone who’s anyone.
"Okay, Briar, you need to calm down. Stressing out is only going to make the internal bleeding worse." Natalie felt bad for her new friend, knowing that it could be hard to deal with this kind of thing.
“Hmmph. Jake Paul can go eat dirt.” She reluctantly got back in bed, and laid flat on her back.
"Because you can't deal with the pressure of seeing your friend even the tiniest bit hurt?" Dove tried to make eye contact, her electric blue eyes meeting his light blue ones.
Natalie looked at the blood on her hands. She quickly washed them and started cleaning the bloody mess on the floor.
"Umm… I-I…"' Oliver scratched the back of his neck, his face red. "I just…" He stammered. He made eye contact with Dove and found himself clearing his throat, letting out a quiet "Yeah…"
"Mmm." Dove grabbed his hand, "Let's go see your friend, Dr. Horne."
“I never want to see a window. Ever again.” Briar began to shake as she finally began to recollect the memories of what had happened only hours ago.
“I’m officially afraid of heights.”
Oliver allowed himself to be dragged along, his heart sinking in his chest. "Are you sure we can't do this later?"
"Nope." Dove moved her hand from his hand to his wrist.
Natalie laughed softly. "And I am officially afraid of letting you out of my sight."
"Figures." Oliver sighed and followed Dove quietly, biting nervously on his lip.
"Now, where's Briar?" Dove put a hand on her hip and faced Dr. Horne before stepping a little bit back. We're too close. "I can't lead you to corrective surgery, I'm a psychologist, remember?"
"Right, right. So we come back later?" Oliver asked hopefully.
