"I'm good Loriana. But games sounds good!" She brightened.
"I'm good Loriana. But games sounds good!" She brightened.
Marya leaned back on the bed, staring at her knees. "It's okay, Lori. I don't really want to know anyway." it was true. Every time she tried to remember her past, her emotions overpowered her. Anger, sadness, pain, loss. Marya didn't want that. She didn't want to remember if it would bring her pain. Forgetfulness is bliss.
She nodded and muttered "Games" to herself multiple times as she hurried out to the rec room to search for those games for the two.
"Tessa?" Marya asked, "Do you remember anything from before this place?"
"Not really. But I don;t want to remember. I don't want to know why I have anxiety. I don't want to know why I wake up screaming. It's better this way." She whispered.
"It is." Marya agreed and she reached over to pat Tessa's hand.
She came back with about 6 or 7 board games and card games, nearly tripping when she came in as she set them down beside Tessa. "You make sure Marya doesn't get up, okay? I want her leg to heal! Do you guys want anything else?"
"Can't you stay and play with us?" Tessa asked.
(I'm not going to be on much this weekend. I'm going camping.)
"No no no, I'm gonna go check on some other people. You two can play! I'll be back in a couple hours to bring you lunch."
"Awww………….okay." Tessa said. "Don't push yourself to much."
Marya stared at the pile of board games, unsure what to do.
Tessa turned to Marya. "What do you want to play? Uno, Go Fish, Ticket to Ride??"
"What?" she crinkled her brow.
Loriana then went in and knocked on Vaughns door gently.
(Ah, back just in time)
Vaughn heard a knock and turned his head towards the door. “Who is it?” He called, tone low and wary.
Loriana peeked in. "It's just me, are you alright? Can I come in?"
Vaughn’s eyes flicked up from where he was sat on the floor, knees pulled up to his chest. “I’m fine, like always. And everyone else is barging on it, so come on ahead,” he mumbled, fingers lightly tracing patterns on the tile floor.
She frowned softly and looked away, sighing. "I..don't need to come in. Do you want anything? Food? A book? Drawing stuff? Games? Anything at all."
Vaughn thought for a moment, his eyes trained on the floor. “Water would be appreciated,” he said, a tad softer than before. He didn’t like asking for help. If he was completely stubborn all the time, he would have been dead in a week.
She nodded. "I'll get you some water and leave you alone then." She went and got a cup, then got him some water before coming in and setting it gently on the floor beside him.
Marya stepped slowly off from the bed, hoping Tessa had forgotten Lorianna's warning to keep Marya in bed.
Tessa shot up and pulled Marya back down. "Sit."
"But I want to go." Marya pouted, crossing her arms and wincing from the bullet wound in her shoulder.
"But you can't go." Tessa pouted back. "Stay. And get better."
