anne left the school about ten minutes ago and started to walk to a small park near the school. she sat down on a swing. she took out her sketchbook and started to draw.
On the way home, Alexa decided to stop by the park to get some more alone time before heading home. She saw a few people already there and the girl from the cafeteria on the swings. She decided to sit on a bench near the people and started to work on her painting from earlier.
Vaughn had stopped home before going back out again. He had been firmly scolded fo not taking his medication, and his foster parents watched him as he popped th spills into his mouth and swallowed them. He had headed back out after that, wanting to find a calm place as the effects of the medication began to kick in. He found his way to a park, and sat on a bench slightly farther away from most of the other people that were there.
Anne looked up from her drawing and saw Vaughn sitting on a bench nearby. he was just sitting there doing nothing so she decided to get up and go up to him. she sat down on the bench next to him. "hey," she said giving him a half wave.
Vaughn glanced over at his foster sister, Anne, when she sat down and greeted him. “Hey..” he said as well. He had barely ever spoken a word to Anne, why was she deciding to talk now?
"you kind of looked like a creep sitting here alone so I thought id just join and sit with you," she said smiling slightly, but then getting rid of the smile and taking her sketchbook out. The real reason she at with him is that she has been feeling lonely and well he's the only person she knows in the school, plus he seemed kind of cool, but she would never tell anyone that.
“A creep? I’m sure there are other people who are sitting alone,” Vaughn mumbled. He leaned back against the bench, running a hand over his jaw. He didn’t return a smile, simply just glanced away and around the park.
she shrugged she opened up her sketchbook and continued with her comic.
Vaughn frowned lightly, glancing back over at Anne. “Why are you really here?” He questioned after a moment, his arms loosely crossed over his chest now.
Anne looked up at her foster brother. "I don't know, I guess I got bored of silence. why do you care?"
“Just wondering, considering this has never happened before,” Vaughn responded simply. He glanced around the park again, doing anything really so he wouldn’t have to look at his foster sister.
she should have expected that this would be awkward. "sooo what do you usually do for fun in this sh*t town?" she asked.
Vaughn gave a loose shrug, looking up towards the sky. “I don’t know if you have been paying attention to anything the past few weeks you’ve been here, but I don’t go out much unless I have to, so I wouldn’t know.”
"Well, I kind of just zone out when I'm back at the house. I don't plan on staying here long so it's not like I need to pay attention," she mumbled looking back at her sketchbook.
“Oh really? You don’t plan on staying here long?” Vaughn asked, arching a brow as he did so.
“Swimming doesn’t sound bad,” Chase replied, envisioning Alistair shirtless then blushing. He looked at Alistair, “But your choice.”
"Okie dokie, swimming it is then," Alistair said with a grin. He went over to the dresser and pulled out two pairs of trunks and a swim shirt. Handing them to Chase, he turned toward the door. "I can change in the bathroom; you can change in here, okay?"
“Alright,” Chase replied, taking the trunks and swim shirt. It seemed like Alistair had read his mind about the swim shirt, and was grateful his bruises wouldn’t be showing. He got changed once he was alone and looked in the mirror. His hair was a tangled mess, as always, but he looked good enough. Chase made a smile just to see what he looked like. “I’m so dorky,” He muttered to no one and laughed softly at himself.
“Oh really? You don’t plan on staying here long?” Vaughn asked, arching a brow as he did so.
(sorry for some reason I thought I responded but apparently I didn't.)
"yep. I'm probably ever going to get kicked out or run away in like a month at most," she said her face blank.
(Yay, you're back! How did the tournament go?)
Alistair quickly changed into the trunks and, picking up his other clothes, went back to the guest bedroom and knocked lightly on the door.
"Hey, Chase, you ready?" he called.
(So-so… i’m not the greatest golfer, but I did better than my partner (from the other team) so that was pretty great :D )
“Yeppers,” Chase replied with his dorky smile and followed Alistair out to the pool, “I don’t go swimming much so this is pretty cool.”
(good for you!! \^u^/ )
Alistair smiled happily at Chase before jumping into the pool. He swam to the bottom, then pushed up to the surface, grinning a shaking his head, causing droplets of water to go everywhere.
"Come on! Get in!" he called with a laugh.
Chase smiled and jumped in himself, then swimming up to surface. Since his long curls were now flattened by the water, his hair was in his face and he grinned as he wiped it to the side, but one strand still stuck to his face, “How do I look without my curly hair?” He looked to Alistair, tilting his head slightly as he treaded water.
Alistar laughed at Chase's adorkable face and swam over. He gently brushed the stray hair off of Chase's forehead, maybe taking a couple moments more than necessary.
"You look just as cute as before," he replied, then realizing what he just said, blushed bright red. "I- I, ummm…"
Chase’s face mirrored Alistair’s, heat rushing to his face. His heart started pounding, “I- uh- I— Thank you,” Chase said all too awkwardly. He wasn’t sure he if should look at Alistair or look away, and he awkwardly settled on the former, looking into Alistair’s gorgeous blue-green eyes. Chase blurted, because his mouth just wanted to make things more awkward, “They look like the sea. I -um- your eyes look like the sea.” Now was the time for Chase to look away, a deep shade of red covering his face.
Ba-BUMP. Ba-BUMP. Ba-BUMP. Alistair could practically hear his heart thudding in his chest.
"Oh- umm, thank you, Chase," he replied, suddenly terribly shy. He so badly wanted to reach out and touch Chase's face again, to feel his soft skin against his fingertips, but he didn't want to make it more awkward, so he just treaded water in front of him, gazing into Chase's mesmerizing two-toned eyes.
