"If you've been playing for about a decade," Zaera commented, "You have to be better than okay. We're working on confidence here Bea, overplay your abilities and how good you think they are."

@Simon-Says

Beatrice blushed shaking her head quickly. "No, no I don't play for anyone unless I've practiced a lot, and I haven't really had time to practice, and - "

@ShadeStar

"Okay chill out," Zaera said trying to hide her laugh, "Take a deep breath and relax. You're bound to be asked questions like that, and will need to find a better way to respond than rambling. Even though the rambling is quite cute."

Talin flopped on his bed with a small smile when he reached his room, extremely happy with himself that he hadn’t made a fool of himself in front of either of the girls and that at least one of them had said yes to going with him. He sat up and looked back towards his desk, where a small stack of books he was supposed to read through was sitting. Those could be taken care of later. With a shrug, he stood up and made his way to his private bathroom to get ready for bed since he wasn’t going to deal with any of his books.

@ShadeStar

"You don't know that," Zaera said quietly, "None of us know that yet. Besides, he seems much nicer than that. He'll find it annoying, plausibly, but he will still talk to you afterwards."

@ShadeStar

"Well anything else you would like me to help you with," Zaera responded with a sigh, "I can't help you very much if you have no faith in yourself. If you have the faith that you can win this or at the very least make it through a round, then run off of that.

@ShadeStar

"Well stop thinking like that," Zaera stated simply, "You can make music. I bet most of the other girls can't play as well a you. Find something that makes you stand out and put that in the spotlight. What are you most proud of about yourself?"

@Simon-Says

"I guess my music. I love to play and write it, I just - I physically can't show it to people. Unless they're customers. Then I don't really have a choice. But…" she sighed in frustration.

@ShadeStar

"Then act as if we're all customers coming to your shop, or whatever you work at," Zaera responded, "Or hide yourself behind a curtain and play. Or just blab about your music, but don't just completely denounce yourself. You have barriers you need to overcome and this will have to be your first one."

@Simon-Says

Beatrice hit her forehead with her wrist, groaning. "I don't think I can do that," she answered, eyes squeezed shut with embarrassment at the very thought of playing in front of people.

@ShadeStar

"Like I said," Zaera stood up and brushed off her dress, "You need to get over your barriers. If you asked me a couple years ago whether or not I would ever be happy walking the stage as a model comfortable in my own body, I would have said no. But I overcame the barriers I have and now over half the nation's population knows who I am, even more so since I've been selected. You have expectations now, Beatrice, you need to meet or exceed them otherwise even when you go home some people may never look at you the same."

Sonia heard another knock. She gave a small sigh, but opened the door. It was Jade. She grinned. “Hey!” She said, stepping aside. “Come in!”
