Talin soon found the first room, Sonia’s. He cleared his throat and knocked gently on the door, shifting around nervously as he waited to see if she was in there. He was slightly hoping she wasn’t there, he had a feeling he was going to mess up terribly when he talked to her.
Sonia heard a knock on the door and froze. This was it. The guards had seen her, and she was going to be kicked out. She opened the door and almost gave a sigh of relief when she saw that it was the Prince… and then paled. “Uh, Hello, Your Highness,” she said nervously.
“Miss Sonia,” He said, hoping he didn’t sound as nervous as he felt as he gave a nod of greeting. He fiddled with her envelope for a moment before holding it out to her, “It’s nothing bad,” He assured her quickly, “Just, read it whenever you have a chance. You don’t have to give a letter back or anything, just tell me in person or send a guard or something.” The letter was not the most formal, but it was still obviously an invitation, to go with him and Jade to the city and get pizza, Jade would get the other one that would ask her to go with him and Sonia to get pizza in the city.
“Uh… okay,” she said, blushing slightly. Why am I so awkward right now? She wondered. “T-thanks.”
Jade was back in her room again. The castle… hadn't been that interesting. She assumed that it would be much cooler if she had access to some of the cooler rooms, but she had only seen hallways and big halls so far. She sat down on her bed, fidgeting her armyknife in boredom.
He nodded, “Yeah, no problem.” After fidgeting with his shirt for a moment he cleared his throat and nodded again, “Well, I better be on my way, I have a lot of things I need to finish up yet tonight. Goodnight Miss Sonia.” With that, he turned and left, heading towards the room the maid said was Jade’s.
Jade looked at the clock. Still a couple of hour before she should sleep. How does one spend a couple of hours in a huge castle of halls and corridors?
Talin counted the doors to the rooms as he went by them until he reached Jade’s. He knocked after a moment of trying to figure out what he was going to say, fiddling with the envelope the whole time as he tried to make himself less nervous. Talking to girls wasn’t his strong point obviously, unless it was his mother.
Jade jumped up from her bed as she heard the knock on the door. "Coming!" She yelled, trying to find a place to hide the armyknife. She had no idea who could be knocking her door at this time. Throwing the knife into the wardrobe, she opened the door, trying to lean casually against the doorway as she did. "What's up… Your Highness? What gives me the honors?"
“Miss Jade,” He greeted her, “I actually just stopped by to give you this.” The prince held out the letter to her and once again hoped he didn’t look as nervous as he felt. “It’s nothing bad,” he assured her, “If you could just read it whenever you have time that would be great. You don’t have to send a letter in response or anything, just send a guard to tell me or find me in person.”
Sonia sat on her bed and opened the letter slowly. Her fingers were shaking slightly, and she was more than a little nervous. When she read it, however, a small smile came onto her face, and she gave a small laugh.
Jade looked at the envelope with a smirk. "Interesting." She took it. "Is it possible that this matter has something to do with pizza?" She grinned at him. "And please, in case there are no rules that forbidds you to, just call me Jade. Or just Jay, that's what my friends do. Anything that doesn't start with 'miss' is fine, actually." Jade made a grimace.
Sonia sent a guard to tell the Prince her reply. It was sweet, really, that he remembered. She wondered if Jade had gotten a reply. She hoped so.
He nodded, rubbing the back of his neck. “It does have to do with pizza,” He admitted, “And I’ll try my best to drop the Miss.” Talin offered her a small smile and cleared his throat, “Well, Just send a guard in response or tell me in person, I’ve got to be on my way again, lots of things to finish.” There was no specific date on the letter for when they would go, he had decided to let the two of them talk and decide on a date. If they both agreed that was.
Jade smiled at him. "I will, your Highness. Goodnight, then."
“Goodnight Jade, and please, call me Talin,” He said, nodding to her with a smile before turning and going back to his room. On he way one of the guards intercepted him to tell him Sonia agreed and he smiled happily, heading back to his room.
Jade closed the door with a big, goofy smile on her face. He had actually asked her to call him Talin. Wow, like… wow. She sat down on the bed, reading the letter with a smile. He had a really nice handwriting, she noticed. Finishing it, Jade held the letter in her hand for a moment. Reality started to kick in, and reality was actually amazing. She was actually in the selection, and she had just talked to the freaking prince. Jade knew what she needed to do. She left her room. Walking a few doors away, she knocked on the door to Sonia's room.
Beatrice nodded briefly, cheeks flaming with embarrassment. She wanted to curl up on the spot and disappear, but unfortunately, no such miracle occured.
Zaera laughed slightly to herself and then continued to walk up to one of the guards, "Hello there. My fellow selected needs help getting her wheelchair up the stairs, is there any other way up?"
The guard looked over at Beatrice and then back at Zaera, "Of course miss. There is an elevator around the corner that can be taken instead of stairs."
"Thank you," Zaera walked back over to Beatrice, "There's an elevator you can use instead of stairs."
Beatrice smiled in relief, heading over to the elevator. Shaking her head at herself, she went over to the elevator and pushed to button to get in.
(I am currently rereading the second series so now I'm even more eager to continue this rp than before lol)
(Lol, honestly tho I kinda liked the original books better than the second series, they’re all awesome books tho :) )
Zaera walked up the stairs and waited at the top for Beatrice to come to the top. She wanted to get her hair undone and maybe change into pants. No, maybe not change into pants.
As Beatrice rolled out of the elevator, she desperately wished she could just walk like a normal human. She knew she looked absolutely stupid.
Zaera grinned as she spotted Beatrice. Her hands were resting being held together, "Well come on. My room isn't that far away from here."
