"I have a better idea than most," she counter as she gestured to the graveyard. "The pain of loss and death stains the land more than any other in history, but of corse everything leaves a mark no mater how small."

Thanatos stares at her in awe, suddenly inspecting her as if seeing her in a whole new light. A sad smile plasters his face and he looks down. “You feel it too don’t you”
"I feel a lot of things; most of them unpleasant. Your it might be one of them or not." Madelyn pulled back a bit reclaiming her own personal space. She was certain they were talking about completely different things. Only another Carter could understand what she felt when time slips away and even then it's still a gamble.
“The death, the agony, the pain of those dead and the ones mourning that heir loses” he rambled, appearing to zone out.
"You view might be more limited than mine," Madelyn said. "Their is more to this world than death, pain, and agony. Even though they are potent others still exist."

“Those are the only parts I can feel” he replied sadly “Anything beyond that is out of reach for me”

"All though my view of the world is maddening to the point of insanity," she looked over Thanatos with a sad look. "I pity you. Your existence must be so… lonely." Those words, they were spoken seemingly with knowledge of a secret long forgotten. Secret that could no longer be put into words.

Staring at her an immense sadness seems to well up in his eyes and he lets out a quiet chuckle that breaks in the middle. “Look at you” he says, “ you’ve known me for all of ten minutes and you’ve already read me like a book” he wipes at his face and looks away appearing disgusted with himself. “So, what god sired you” he questioned, attempting to steer clear of any more dangerous topics,

//Thanks so much scarlet !
The laughed that escaped from Madelyn could have given away her insanity. "No god just a mad man. I am mortal."

A look of dumbfounded surprise plasters his face “Mort-mortal… you’re mortal? How can you be….” He splutters indignantly stumbling of his words growing flustered quickly. “ wow…. you have … quite the aura for a mortal” his pale face is flushed red and he looks away still looking confused.
"The linear construct of time does not apply to me." Madelyn said matter of factly, "but I understand I tend to have an affect on people; most of the time it's not this positive."

“It baffles me that you aren’t at least a demigod, you strike me as a child of Artemis or maybe….Aphrodite” He flushes again and turns away continueing to mutter to himself. “And what other reaction would you get” he questions turning back to her now looking more composed. “ the ability seems pretty incredible to me as well as a massive burden”

//omg
(watch Oliver get jealous for no apparent reason lmao)
Oliver narrowed his eyes at Thanatos when he compared Madelyn to the goddess Aphrodite, though he didn't say anything. Instead, he leaned against a taller, cross-shaped gravestone with a brooding frown across his pale features. Why he was unhappy to Thanatos talking to them…he didn't know. He continued to listen to the conversation, deciding that he wouldn't say anything.
"Burden is the right word," Madelyn says completely oblivious to the first half of the comment. Altho did find the choices strange more caught up on how she could be the daughter of a virgin goddess. That noticing she had been compared to the goddess of beauty.
(Madelyn being the social outcast that she is has no idea what flirting is like.)
//have I created a love triangle !!!!!

“Why may I ask are you and your companions sitting in the middle of a dark graveyard at this time of night anyway, is there no better place for you to be?” He questioned. Quizzically he scanned the group of people, studying each person individually.
Oliver's frown seemed even more unhappy when Thanatos' gaze landed on him, his pale, grey eyes turning to a stormier color. Though, honestly, he just looked like an unhappy puppy as he stayed near the gravestone. It was unlike him to be sulking in a corner by himself, though when he got jealous or unhappy he could be very blunt about how he felt.
"This place has a natural defense against cross temporal divination tactics." Madelyn said looking to the rest of the group to help her change the subject. The anxiety of being continuously questioned was staring to get to her.

Noticing ho w uncomfortable she is he stands up. “I’m sorry for pestering you” he apologized, smiling kindly down at her, his yellow eyes strangely cat like in the dark setting. Then, turning to continue the task of reburying the corpses.
