"Where is my father" he growled, stopping but not turning around.
“That was quite a speech,” a smooth voice said from the darkness. Virgil stepped out, watching Sam with a raised eyebrow.
"It was a speech not meant for other ears besides mine," Sam said, turning their head away from the mysterious newcomer and bending down to pluck a tuft of grass casually. (how about only sam and alex are far away from the camp, and alex has stolen away) Then, quick as a flash, it turned into sharp metal, and they threw it at the man, reciting a levitation spell at the last minute. They buckled slightly from the exertion, but kept their focus on him. "Especially not meant for demon ears. What are you and what do you want?"
