Cassius stood a few strides ahead of Esmae, turning his head to see her out of the corner of his eye.
"Esmae, was it?" he asked.
His stance had relaxed a little bit once he was no longer talking to his colleagues. He had a certain look in his eye as he watched the girl. Perhaps a look of interest. Perhaps he had something else in mind. For someone who didn't know him well, it would've been impossible to tell.
"Let's get you something to eat. Wouldn't do good to have you starve here."

Esmae noticed Cassius looking back at her a few times, he had a weird look in his eyes, but she couldn't make out what it meant. "Yes, that's my name." She walked behind him, since she didn't feel comfortable walking next to him. Lifting her hand she started to play with her now shoulder length hair. She missed her long hair, it took so long to grow it out. "So, how long have you been working here?" Maybe I can get some information out of him.
