Lillian slipped back inside and quietly padded down the steps back to her room. She threw off her dress and put on a dark stretchy ensemble before sneaking out back to the stables.
She led Carrie out of her cage and jumped on. And before anyone could stop her she was off into the forest.
Aylo was in a tree, watching a girl shoot a deer. She nodded her head, impressed as she continued to sharpen her knives. Tomorrow morning she would meet with the rest of the Revancha society (Spanish for revenge )to discuss matters near the port.
(Is it too late to join?)
Lillian rode on, jumping fallen tree trunks and weaving between the bushes and boulders. She closed her eyes a moment, and when they opened she was staring down at a girl with shoulder length brown hair, blue eyes, and an extended bow. Lillian jumped down.
Skye jumped when a girl landed next to her. She stared at her in shock.
"Who are you?" she asked quietly, narrowing her eyes.
"Lillian Schuyler." She stuck out her hand to shake. "You are?"
"Skye," she replied warily, shaking the girl's hand. "What brings you out here?"
"Just seeking out a few moments of freedom before I'm married off," she said casually. She then nodded at the dead deer she'd noticed. "Nice shot."
Skye glanced at the deer and smiled. "Thanks. I've got a lot of practice," she said proudly. Facing Lillian again, she asked, "Married off? To whom?"
Lillian absent-mindedly waved a hand. "Sir Mulligan."
(im outta names in case you've noticed)
"Oh, really?" Skye cocked an eyebrow. "That'll be interesting."
Lillian snorted. "You're telling me. Anyway, my eldest sister is getting the catch."
"Oh? And who would that be?" Skye asked curiously.
Lillian sighed. "Theodore Birr."
Skye looked at her blankly. "Never heard of him," she stated. "Anyway, I should probably clean up this deer, now, so unless you're not squeamish about blood and guts… I'd suggest leaving or at least looking away for a while."
Lillian brushed a strand of hair out of her eyes. "I'll be good."
(Sorry, I've gotta go for a while. Don't know when I'll be back next.)
Aylo watched the two talk as she brushed a strand of hair behind her hair. The top was intricately braided, in a traditional Soulscythe style. {Should I go and talk to them. . .} Aylo asked herself and decided to walk towards them.
"I agree, your shot was amazing." She called out towards Skye.
Cuyo pressed on… He noticed a gleam in the forest…
"Interesting." He said, going to check it out.
Lillian looked up. "The trees here talk, huh," she joked.
She smiled, her deep blue eyes shifting shades in the moonlight as she walked towards the two. "I guess they do."
Cuyo approached the place of the gleam, to see a few women, apparently one hand killed a swear.
Lillian heard a rustling to her left. Judging by the speed and heaviness of the steps, it was a man. "Who goes there?" she asked in a mock threat, though her hand crept to her daggers.
"Relax." Cuyo said, shifting the weight on his bag. "I was just checking out a gleam over here."
