"I wonder what having fur is like? What is the meaning of life? Why don't ravens have thumbs?" Susan asked herself.

"Excellent questions Susie. Do you think I could turn into a human with a spell or something? I mean, humans can do it with a bit of work, so why not me? I'm not an ordinary raven!"
"Well we'd have to ask a wizard. But I think you are better at being a raven."
"Yeah, but it'd be neat to try it out once. Plus, I wonder what I'd look like…"
"Why are you putting a hand on your face?" Death asked. Death never understood the concept of the facepalm.
“It’s how I-just do your thing.”
"Tell me why. I must understand this thing that humans do. You know I know absolutely nothing about humans, what if Susan does the hand-to-the-face motion? What will I do?" Death asked desperately.
“That probably means she thinks you’re an idiot.” Will bluntly stated.
"You'd be a larger fluffball than you are now I guess." Susan told Quoth.

"Am I an idiot though?" Death asked.
Will coughed, “Oh, wow, the weather is nice.”
"You're avoiding the question." Death said.
“Let’s do what we were supposed to!”
"You think of me as an idiot, don't you?" Death frowned. Well, not frowned. His face was a skull. But it was an implied frown.
“What are you talking about, Sir? Don’t be ridiculous.” Will said, as realistic as possible.
"Liar."
“Okay, maybe I think you’re an idiot sometimes.”
"I expected that answer but I'm still offended."
“Sorry…”
"Don't be. Let us do what we came here to do." Death said, walking over to an intoxicated Susan. He looked at Quoth and nodded to the raven respectfully.
"You'd be a larger fluffball than you are now I guess." Susan told Quoth.
"I wonder if my skin color would change?" Quoth mused. "I mean, it's kind of a pinkish gray, and I think that would look weird if I was human. People would be like 'Woah, there something wrong with that there hooman'! "
Will stood awkwardly to the side
Susan looked up at Death. "Who are you?" she asked him. "I am Death." Death said.
"Holy squawkamoly!" Quoth shrieked, climbing up Susan's arm.
"I am here on important matters. This must be taken seriously." Death said, annoyed.
"Am I dying?! I'm only 4!" Quoth said, feathers puffed in agitation.
"Neither of you are dying. But the Hogfather is." Death said. "What, a jolly fat man prowling around kid's bedrooms? Good riddance." Susan said.

(Quoth is great.)
