Ignis words were soft and light, "I think I set a Shadow free…."

Marlin gulped "Wha– what's a Shadow?" If Ignis was that scared of them, then it must be bad.

"Shadows are beings that the Elders locked away in the seals. Some of them are elementals." Ignis always knew about the elementals and everything they told throughout history, but he never knew much about who the Shadows were.

"Okay, so you set a Shadow free, how… how do we put it back? If the Elders did it then it means we can, right? Don't we have the same, or at least similar powers?" Marlin checked behind them to see if they were being followed, "These Shadows won't hurt us, will they?"

Short Backstory: Since she was young she had always had a very easy time in the dark, she could also blend in pretty well. Good for hide and seek she thought. One day she began hearing voices from the darkness and the shadows. she went to talk to her parents about the voices, She had only been hearing whispers but when she grew up the voices got louder, and more frequent. eventually her dad left, complaining about the fact he couldn't deal with a 'cursed child' growing up with just her mom. her mom eventually married her step dad.
Personality: Rude, sarcastic, mean, disrespectful, impatient, loyal to a fault once she actually likes you. doesn't like many people. honest.

Ignis smiles but is soon gone. "Similar yes. But we are not as powerful. This world is filled with creatures more powerful than u….i mean you. Imagine how much magic they used? Man, such power!"

Marlin glanced at Ignis looking slightly worried. "What do Shadows look like?" he asked, "They wouldn't have… weird redish looking eyes, would they?"

Ignis looks up with surprise and shock, "N-no. Most of them look like us and don't have any…anomalous features. H-how do… Did you see something with red eyes?"

Kali walked among the streest ignoring everyones voices until she heard two voices that sounded familiar to her, okay maybe the other didn't sound as familiar as one of them but she had heard one of them before. She knew she had, multiple times while in the darkest parts of her house. She got closer to ignis and marlin staying close to them standing next to them but only listening and occasionally glancing. Her dark hair and dark clothes could easily be mistaken for a shadow cept for everytime she turn to look at them her pale face would show.

"Yep. Sort of orangey– red glowy eyes. Right before you ran into me. I didn't see where he went." he lowered his voice not wanting to be heard, "They could have been a normal human with weird looking eyes, but at this point I'm beginning to doubt normal humans exist."

Kali overheard what he said and couldnt help but snort at that.

Marlin heard a noise and turned around, there was a girl standing nearby, "Oh, hello there," he said, hoping she hadn't been listening, "Sorry, didn't see you there, I'll get out of your way." he stepped aside, trying very hard to look normal and not at all like he had been talking about magic.

"No need, not like I have anywhere to be going too." She sneered at the male. she was less familiar with his voice but she was sure she had heard it once before. She turned to face marlin staring him down. "Have we met?"

"No." he looked at her a bit longer. "Have we?" he was confused. Why was she glaring at him like that, she didn't know about it did she?

She frowned at him, then turning to stare at ignis, before returning her gaze to marlin. "we may have an I'm not rememberingbut i know your voice even if faintly." Again were looking at ignis. "Your name is ignis correct?"

Ignis was shocked to hear the girl acknowledge him, he had always tried his best to remain discreet but everyone knew who he was. "That's….correct." He turns to Marlin, "I believe what you saw was a Shadow."

Marlin looked at the new girl nervously, then turned and whispered to Ignis "Are you sure it's safe to talk about this? We're obviously being listened to."

"If she's been listening, there's no point hiding it now."

"Well, okay then." he shrugged, "If you say so."

Aria got to her feet and jumped from roof to roof, looking down on the town. She noticed the man she'd seen earlier in the forest, and sat down atop a nearby roof to watch

Sage bit her lip as she walked, stopping in an alleyway when she heard voices. Two of which she heard in the forest earlier.

"Anyways, we should be careful. If a Shadow really is here, then we have a problem!" Ignis said, he glances over to the girl, "Well since you know my name apparently, what is yours?"

"Kali." She looked away shoving her hands in her pockets. "who's he?" she nodded her head at marlin. "oh yeah and someones always listening, whether you like it or not."
