"No! NO! he-he he cant be!" she cried out in disbelief she held him tight to her. she didnt want to believe it. the moment they had just had upstairs…was he a shadow then too? she had saw the sigil earlier why didn't she just point it out? her tears started up again just when she thought her eyes were dry as a bone. "I r-refuse to b-believe that ignis is as shadow!" she stumbled over her words.
Amara grabbed Kali, "He lied to all of us! We can't trust him!" The sigil begins to glow as his scars stretch more. Ignis screamed in pain as his hands began to produce black fire, with little essence of regular in them. Angel lets out a loud shriek, acknowledging Ignis's pain.
"Dont touch me!" she shrugged off amara glaring at her. "I know he's in there! if you truly cared about him you would know that!" she screamed at amara, she still held to him. "IGNIS!! I know your there!! I know your fighting!! You can do this, I know you can. Come back to us please!" she yelled at him hesitainting biting her lip.
The glow had stopped, so did his pain. Ignis didn't wake. Amara sit back in fear of her life. She never knew Ignis's scars meant he was a Shadow. I trusted him! He made me believe he was good! He was a part of this! He did all of this!
Kali's heart beat stopped for a second, she saw him sit there not waking up. "I-ini….come on…w-wake u-up…" She was trying not to shake. She got up close to his face and brushhed the hair from his face cupping his cheeks gently.
A wave of light shot through his veins. His eyes wide open with white light in his eyes, not darkness. His awakening was filled with shock as he took in a deep breath. He pushed himself away from Kali, out of instinct. He noticed his sigil exposed and immediately covered it. The glow in his eyes did not fade, "W-What happened? Where am I?" He could only see himself. He couldn't see anything else, it was just blank.
"D-do you n-not remember u-us?…" she asked him wanting to reach out to him, but if he didn't remember them then she didn't want to force anything on him…she summoned the glass rose holding it to him. "D-do you remember this?…" she wanted so desperately for him to remember, she wanted to cling to the hope that it wasn't forever and he would remember them. she noticed the glow in his eyes and set the rose down. "Y-your at y-your house….i d-dont really know w-what happened…sorry.."
Ignis looked in Kali's general direction, "K-Kali? I can hear you, but not in my mind." He stumbled around, eventually holding on to a countertop. The light slowly faded, but his vision still adjusting. He squinted his eyes, trying to see what was in front of him, but he could not. He smiled weakly, "My mind is still my own. I-I just can't see you."
She let out of a big exhale almost collapsing. "Oh my gosh I thought you didn't remember us…" She got up and wipped her tears for what felt like the millionth time and she hoped he didn't see her about to kiss him. She walked over to him and booped his nose. "I knew it was still you in there, Amara on the other hand." She tched.
Ignis freaked when he felt her touch his nose, "So…I assume everyone knows? Including Amara?"
Amara was gone.
"little b***h ran off like the coward she is." She said coldly. She couldn't believe Amara reacted the way she did and was kinda mad at her.
Ignis got up from the counter as his vision repaired, "I do not blame her. I had hidden many portions of my past from her. My blood is more than many thinks. Life, Light, Dark, Fire, Water, Air, and Earth are more spoiled than any other being in existence. We had many fails. But there is more to us than what we let on. I trust that Amara is far away from here. She most likely will not return to me. Shadows have haunted her for years, now that she knows the truth, she is likely to hide." Ignis was calm and patient. He uncovers the sigil again, "This was the symbol of the Shadows. Every Flame elemental is born with it. Symbolizing the founding of such group. To prevent Arcanis from finding me, I cut through the symbol. Now I fear it may foretell a greater danger."
"still ..she's known you longer than I have yet I'm the one who believes that your still you?" She sighed. "I just thought that she wouldn't act that way, I never thought I would see that but I guess we're going to have to get used to seeing the unimaginable huh." She sighed again summoning the rose into her hand and admiring it a little bit before sending it back to her room. "it's kinda stupid to accuse you of being a shadow when your born with mark, not being able to decide about it." She huffed looking at the door. "I expected better from her." She heard his last bit. "yeah well we can face whatever the greater danger is together, Amara can off on her own and getting eaten by a demon I couldn't care less."
Ignis immediately turned, "Eaten by a demon? Why would you say that? I know she may have left, but it was out of fear. No one deserves a fate like such…evil."
"sorry..I just saw a vision about her being eaten, I just don't…sorry." she looked away, she couldn't say say she didn't mean it, at the moment she did she probably wouldn't later but she couldn't ignore her feelings and they just slipped out. "your right, no one deserves a fate of being eaten by demons, I shouldn't have said that."
"You had a vision?" Ignis didn't believe her, but continued on, "I understand your frustration, but you haven't a slightest clue what Shadows have done to Light's children. You were spared only because you weren't light. I presume now she has her negative, memories of her family are rushing through her head. Every memory of her family's side being slaughtered by Shadows. Even if they were the weakest, they did a hellava number on her. Surely you can understand."
"what's that's supposed to mean? Am I not allowed to have visions?" She huffed, sure she saw it from ignis grabbing her unsure if it was her or him but she knows what she saw. She looked at him, the dead him from the vision flickered in front of her face for a second before going back to normal, her eyes went wide for a second before calming down. "Yeah I can understand. I mean light wasn't a good person but it's kinda unfair to punish children of light soley for existing."
Ignis freaked out, the same way as they met so long ago, "N-No! It's not that you weren't allowed to, just not supposed to. Magic is fairly dangerous, even I am no used to it."
"oh so I'm not supposed to have visions? Guess I'll just ignore it then." She grumbled flicking his forehead. "well I don't care if it's dangerous did you forget who you were talking too?" She tched a hand on her hip in a sassy position she barely did. "You didn't hh- didn't see anything from earlier right?" She looked away.
Ignis looked down for a few moments, "Uh…no. Nothing worth mentioning."
"are you sure?" She stared down at him, not glaring at him more.like trying to get him to confess.if he was hidding. "what did you see?"
"I…I saw you." Ignis replayed times where hiding secrets lead nowhere, "I saw you being gutted by…Arcanis. I saw Amara being eaten by a Hunter, a winged demon. I saw Alister cry over the ashes of his sister. I saw Rais's skeleton cooked and flesh gone. I couldn't explain further if I wanted to. I believe I was give these visions because of Angel. Not her directly, but because of our links strengthening. Perhaps I did share these visions, or perhaps we just had the same ones."
That made her feel bad for forcing her way into him, when had that ever gone well in the past? She sighed. "maybe it branched over because you grabbed both my and Alister's arm and gave us visions. Amara was being eaten by a demon, rais bones were burning and infront of us….your body hung crucified with "Dead Magic" engraved into your chest" she looked down fidgeting with her hands. She tried to force the image away but it appeared anyway. "is there any possible way arcanis would be able to come back?…"
(intense sweating welp this just went on without me)
