The complications of what was happening to Ignis were lost on the siblings, but they both agreed that Kali should stay with him. Exhaustion replaced the fear in the air. It seemed that Kali and Noel were the only ones in a mildly stable state of mind.
And so, Noel addressed Kali only. “We’ll be back soon. Take care.”
“I’ll try not to… mess everything up.” Alister murmured.
Noel gave him a look when she heard this, but didn’t comment. Waving to them, they ventured into forest.
Ignatius held a very odd look within his eyes, "I didn't do this… I only intervene if Ignis does something extremely stupid. or is about to. I have no idea what is happening. And if I'm sensing correcting, neither does Ignis."
She rubbed her face, "well isn't this just peachy? Well we have to exit the air temple and hopefully help my supposed brother. So let's start moving out from where we came."
Ignatius puts Evan down and wanders around the area, "Why are we still here? And what happened to that kid? You kids these days love to get yourselves killed?"
”That’s a good question,” a collection of voices murmured. ”Why are you still here?”
The wind picked up again, seeming to come from the direction where the siblings had gone.
"I'm trying to get out of here and help Evan, but of course Ignatius had to appear and set him down, you do realize I can't carry him? And we can't leave him here either. He could die."
"Calm down. Spatial displacement. Your generation calls it teleporting." He lifts his left hand, revealing a multi colored flame, "Magic." He whips around and turns his attention to the voice collected in the air, "And as much as I'd love to forget your existence once more, Ignis won't leave them. As pariah, I can only watch, intervene only when necessary."
There were several sounds and echoes of grumbling. ”And is this truly necessary, brother?”
The air stirred. It hated things that stayed in one place, unmoving, but at the same time it seemed apathetic and just mildly irritated.
Heat began to rise in the air, "I am not your brother. Not after what you or the others did since the dawn of time."
The voices seemed to laugh. ”Oh, I see. Force of habit, I suppose.”
Ignis's body began to heat as his veins glow with an orange hue. the flesh began to sizzle as the eyes turn red. "What do you want? I am only here for humanity's sake."
Instantly, a rush of mist flooded the small clearing outside of the temple. A figure formed from it, with shining silver eyes. The increasing humidity and heat made the surrounding air sticky and wet.
”What do I want?” the figure boomed, its crowd of voices uniting. Then they stopped. ”Well, freedom from this cage would be nice, but of course, you’ve already seen to that. It has been a millennia, and it may be a millennia more stuck in one space, forced to sit here like a lazy ox.” They laughed bitterly, while also giving Ignatius a glare. ”But right now, I would like to be pure. Free from tainted substances, gases… smoke. To be free from this heavy, old weight on me. Perhaps when they reach it, I will be freer than ever…”

"what?" Ignis's words didn't come from the body, rather from the space around it. Ignatius remained in control, "They are only to secure the seal. What have you filled their heads with?"
(Also, remind me about seals please. What they look like, what they do, all that jazz)
(There are five seals, each made from a prime elemental. A large stone circle, mostly used as worshipping sites for the respected elemental [hence why they are in temples]. Arcanis, the user of illusion magic [element remains secret], wishes to break all. Once it is done, monsters, creatures, and a wellspring of power will be unleashed. Arcanis plans on becoming a god and every elemental who joins. Each seal is engraved with the element as well as a warning. Our group's main goal is to ensure they AREN'T broken and place protection spells on them.)
(Okay, thank you very much)
(Yeah that was helpful)
"The both of you stop this! This isn't helping anyone or anything! We will be free from you whenever the others are finished, I wanted to leave earlier but it's clear that isn't an option. Ignatius do not make ignis pass out from over exertion! He's not you! I know you didn't cause this but still."
Ignatius turns to Kali, "What are you talking about? Over exertion?"
"He said he was over using his powers, and that he was in danger to pass out because of it, why do you ask?"
The figure laughed again. ”Oh Dark, you worry so. Ah, but that little trick you’re doing with the little flame’s body will surely have its consequences,” they said, the fog and mist swirling around them. The humidity in the air seemed to die down, if only for now.
The anger in Ignatius burned the body. Ignis felt the pain, "He's not capable of over exertion. Not unless he does something insanely powerful, even then I'd prevent it. Sorry to break it to you..but he lied to you." The sudden change in subject brought his anger down, lessening the effects of the heat.
"Heck yeah I'm worried! Ignis is always doing some stupid idiot thing to get him in danger..I have to make sure he dosent get himself killed." She spoke to air before she turned to him.
"…of course he did." She sighed. why would he lie to me..?
