Cicada didn’t respond. That little ‘show’ had taken a lit out of her. Some people called her a pyro, but really she was trying to let out all that. The more it built up, the worse this became. The last time- they don’t talk about the last time.
(Gtg night!)
Scipio flinched, looking up at Millie with watery eyes. Death's voice was fainter, but still evident and ringing in his ears. Its grip slackened on his throat and he drew in a wavering breath.
Millie looked at Scipio with a worried look, "Are you okay?"
"Goodnight Cicada, or should I call you Kathy," Death grinned and walked back into the forest. The show was over, no need to stick around. "Wow what a mess," She said looking down at tear stained faces. "Wow, your deaths sure did a number on you guys,"
Scipio didn't respond, hugging Millie back tightly as he shook. There were tear tracks littered across his face, and he couldn't get rid of the voice of death fully. He knew it would never truly leave after what he did.
Millie did a cold look to Death, "You just love messing with people, don't you?"
All Death could do was watch. It was a rule that other Deaths couldn't interfere with the being of others. She felt kinda bad, they have some pretty nasty deaths. She stood there and just watched. "Maybe a bit,"
You should just die before you would have to go back for the summer… save your parents the explanations of why they suddenly have a son again… they wouldn't miss you; no one would… Scipio flinched and clung to Millie, his old scars stinging as he reminisced.
The corner of Death's mouth curled upward. "Wow, Damien, is really messing this kid up," She whispered. (Can I call your Death Damien, it's hard to call them all deaths you know, or would you rather a different name?)
(Sure lol)
"W-Why won't he just leave me alone! Stop it, stop it, stop it!" Scipio cried into Millie's shoulder. He had essentially grasped the fact that his death was more aggressive and cruel than most.
Millie thought about the whispers again and again, like it wouldn't come off her mind. She got chills down her spine because every single thing that her death said was true. Sooner or later, she wouldn't keep up her positive act anymore.
(Mines going to be Lilith, since calling her death all the time is hard.)
Lilith watched as Damien wrapped his hands around the poor boys neck whispering venomous words into his ear. Some people are just unlucky. Lilith found Angel one day and grew attached, she didn't know what it was about this girl, was it her kindness? Or the fact she never cried when her parents abused her? Lilith was just fascinated and so baldly just wanted to break her, it's been proven hard so far. Lilith caught Damien's eye as he looked up and just smiled at her, he was having fun. They are easier to break when they're more human, Banshees were difficult, but that made it more fun. Lilith could help but smile back at him.
Scipio choked, unable to breathe through Damien's tight grasp. He was getting lightheaded and bruises formed on his thin neck. The voices grew more echoey and faint as Scipio's vision tunneled and blurred. A single tear rolled down his cheek before his vision went black and he fell unconscious.
"Alright Damien, you don't want to kill the poor boy, you don't want him to die so soon right," She knew she was butting in a bit, but it was the truth it's no fun to just kill them right away. Becuse playing with them is the best part. But, Damien was a mischievous one and didn't like to listen to others. "Its more fun to take it slow and drive them crazy before killing them," Everyone was going to hate her after this, but it didn't matter they couldn't do anything to her anyway.
"Uh guys? we should probably head back" Alex replied feeling surprisingly unfazed by what had happened.
Damien reluctantly slackened his grip on Scipio's neck and floated above him, letting the boy fall against the tree trunk limply. Scipio had dealt with Damien for years now, first believing him to be a toxic imaginary friend of sorts before realizing what he really was. Damien was cunning, persuasive, and positively venomous. It seemed that, given enough time, he could talk the poor boy into anything. Scipio wanted so badly to just escape Damien's torment, but he knew that he was stuck with him until he finally died.
(I gtg to bed now, it's like 2:30 am lol)
(I'll name Millie's death Nina)
Millie saw Scipio go unconscious and her eyes widen, "No…" She looks at Scipio and she sees the bruises and red marks on his neck. "Geez, these deaths are freaking intense…" Millie carried Scipio and walked through the forest, finding a way out. Nina was watching and then sighed, "This girl will never snap, she'll have to eventually…"
(Aw, okay.)
Lilith's eyes darted to Alex, she didn't even realize another person was here and it was weird how calm she was. "Your right, let's go!" Lilith began skipping off towards the school, when she collapsed to the ground.
