Beau nodded in understanding, a small smile spreading across his face. "That sounds awesome." He said, his voice somehow becoming more gentle around Vien. "I'm a mimicker. So if I see someone use a specific power, then I can use it too." He explained, making small jazz hands as if to accentuate his words.
(well, the rp is up for anyone that wanted to join.)
Alex decided not to go to her dorm for she wanted to explore more. She felt mad that she was so weird to that kid, it made her feel like a bully, like she usually was. The map had now become wrinkled because of her holding it too tight. She sighed as she walked down the hallway of dorms
Vien’s eyes lit up. “R-Really? So if I do this, you can do it too?” He asked before holding out a hand. Dark blue, smoky wisps trailed from his palm, small white stars dotting the magic here and there
Beau leaned forward, narrowing his eyes faintly as he studied the magic. After a few moments, he raised his palm up, dark blue, plumes of smoke coming off and mimicking the movements of Vien's magic. "There we go," He said under his breath as he focused his energy on maintaining the mirrored image. He glanced back up, a small smile on his lips as he noticed the excited look in Vien's eyes.
A small grin crossed Vien’s face as he saw the magic in Beau’s palm. “That’s a-amazing,” he said, a small bit of wonder in his tone
Beau grinned and closed his hand, the magic dissipating. "I can only control it to some extent though," He explained, blowing a few strands of messy hair out of his face. He chuckled, smiling faintly at the grin on Vien's face. It was nice to see him smile that much.
Cicada turned around and glared at him, "Don't even think about peeping."
She shut the door and locked it. She sighed as she turned the water on.
Dalton stood up, annoyed. "Are almost done in there Cinderella?"
Cicada sighed. The soot was finally all gone. She got dressed and opened the door, "Don't call me Cinderella."
"Yeah okay." Dalton smiled at her. "So what exactly happened?"
Cicada shrugged as she sat on her bed, "Like I said, powers got out of hand."
"Did you get caught?" Dalton returned to his previous state of throwing the ball.
"Yeah," Cicada sighed. She didn't elaborate on how the teachers were the ones who prevented her from burning down the place. She winced at the memory that surfaced before pushing it down.
"Are they going to punish you or something?" Dalton said looking over to her.
Cicada shook her head, "No. I have… Special circumstances…. They won't punish me for this."
Beau grinned and closed his hand, the magic dissipating. "I can only control it to some extent though," He explained, blowing a few strands of messy hair out of his face. He chuckled, smiling faintly at the grin on Vien's face. It was nice to see him smile that much.
“That’s still a-amazing,” Vien said, his grin turning to more of a soft smile. “I can only imagine if I did a s-summoning ang you copied it. Twice the firepower.”
Cicada shook her head, "No. I have… Special circumstances…. They won't punish me for this."
"Where can I get myself some of these 'special circumstances'? Those might come in hand when I accidentally brainwash someone."
Cicada laughed, "Get some PTSD and then maybe you can get some."
"Exactly," Beau grinned as he ran a hand through his hair, humming in thought. "It can be hard most of the time. I have to focus most of my energy on mimicking it. Is your power easy?" He asked curiously, tilting his head faintly to the side.
Dalton changed out of his uniform and into the required academy pajamas. His sign of rebellion was not wearing a shirt to bed, which he knew he could get in trouble for. He crawled into his bed and stared at the ceiling.
Cicada crawled into bed, "Yep. My life sucks."
"Evidently so does everyone else's. Why else would they be here?"
Cicada shrugged, "Yeah I guess."
Her mind flashed through the memories. She was honestly happy to be here. That sounded really sighed.
Dalton reached under his bed for his suitcase and pulled out a framed picture of what looked to be him and another boy. This boy was younger than him but looked almost identical otherwise. He set it on his bedside and pushed the bag back under his bed.
