(Lol. Well, there were only three ingredients, so it was pretty simple.)
WHATHAVEIDONEOHMYSTARS
Akyra sprinted to the auditorium.
"Ames, I- I think I have a solution to the whole giant-army-at-out-doorstep thing."
(Oops!)
Amethyst spun to face her cousin and raised her eyebrows at her statement.
"Really? What is it?" she questioned her.
Ian was still staring at the wall then shakes his head vigorously, bangs on the side of his head then went back to examining the old book
"Ok, so. I thought I could… handle some of them, like groups of maybe ten at a time to keep from attracting too much attention. I could determine their locations pretty easily, and you know how I could take care of it from there," Akyra hurriedly explained. "Using this method, I could probably take out at least fifty, give or take."
Amethyst nodded slowly as she listened to Akyra's plan.
"If you stand in the front with us, I think that would work as a great distraction," she mused. "Just… You're sure it won't hurt you in any way?"
"I mean… I haven't used my abilities to this extent since you broke me out," Akyra said. "But it also would probably be good for me to use them, the pent-up energy can have… negative effects."
Ian closes the book and walks down to the auditorium with it in the crook of his arm
"Hm. Well, I think that's a good plan," Amethyst agreed, "but if you need to stop, then stop. Don't push yourself, okay?"
Ian sits in the far corner and opens the book again, biting his cuticles as he tries to read it
"Okay, Ames, but don't worry, I know my limits," Akra said. "Oh, and there's something you need to know… Ian knows about my abilities; he's the one I sensed earlier."
"Of course it's Ian," Amethyst muttered under her breath. "Okay. Then we'll head out as soon as the other groups are ready."
Ian bent lower to the book but he had heard that. His eyes trail off the page to the ground.
Amethyst pulled out her comms device and called Odin.
"Is your team ready?"
"Just about. Give us a few more seconds." Odin responded, seeing that some of the group still weren't wearing the glasses.
The tension was rife in the air and it stifled Akyra's head.
"Ames, I'm going to go out on the roof," she said quietly. "Alert me when you're ready."
She made her way out of the auditorium, unknowingly walking right by Ian.
This has been one helluva day
"All right," Amethyst replied, then called Silas next. "Your team ready?"
"Ready for your orders, Amethyst," came Silas' reply.
"Perfect. Now we're just waiting on the surprise team," Amethyst said, nodding in satisfaction.
"My team is ready." Odin stated over the intercom.
"Okay, then you all need to sneak around behind them while my team and I attack out front. Got it?" Amethyst asked, already leading her team toward the doors.
Ian watches from his corner. He closes the book and stands, scratching the back of his neck, "Better go set up a medical point." He walks toward the middle of the auditorium
