"Then don't act like one." Nyir almost smiled.
"Then don't act like one." Nyir almost smiled.
"Knock it off," He barked, setting the bag to the side of his desk before walking over to Nyir and smiling politely. "Oh good, I'm so glad. Let's go, I won't resist." he turned to the girls. "No point in sticking around, bye."
Nyir breathed a laugh. "I know. I didn't even bother bringing handcuffs." She led the way out of the office and to the elevator. Pressing the button, she waited for the elevator to arrive.
“Don’t act like a brat and you won’t get killed.”, Yuki said before Nyir left. “I bet I could beat you.” Yuki wanted an excuse to fight Nyir. She just needed Nyir to throw the first punch.
Armand tapped a toe while they waited. "I'm sorry." He told Nyir. He didn't show or speak much for emotion, his eyes trained ahead of them at the elevator door. "I hope you aren't too mad at me."
"If I didn't expect this, I would be," she admitted tiredly. "But I know you. I knew this would happen. Just…" She reached out, hesitated, then grasped his forearm. "Don't be stupid," she finished just as the elevator doors opened.
After Armand and Nyir had left, Yuki turned to Rowan. “Aren’t you angry at Armand for shooting you?”
"Nyir you know that all men were all made from the same stupid cloth." He nodded and stepped on to the elevator with her, humming.
"He just didn't want me to actually get shot by Nyir. I guess I was at first, but he was just trying to protect me. He has a good heart Yuki." Rowan made her way over to her bed and sat down on in, praying Yuki would somehow understand.
“And yet he works for President Harris? I don’t get it.” Yuki said. “I guess I understand why he shot you. I’m just not used to trusting people anymore. The last people I have ever trusted and will ever trust are dead.” Yuki felt for her necklace. The silver dragon pendant glinted in the light.
Rowan eyed the pendant. "He stays because he's loyal. But he's keeping us safe and that's all we can ask for right now." She sighed, shooting a worried glance at the door. "Where'd you get that pendant from? It's very pretty."
(Rowan and Yuki are such sweet friends. Aweee :3)
(Totally!)
“My necklace was passed down through generations of my family. My mother gave it to me when I was little. We were very close. Later, I lost it when a guard at the torture camp ripped it off my neck and put it in her satchel. Then after winning the battle that set me free, I confronted the guard. She took it off and gave it back to me and I spared her life.” Yuki looked back on her memories. “I guess that necklace has been through a lot.”
Rowan nodded, giving a Yuki a weak smile. "It's good to have a keepsake like that. A way to remember the past."
“It makes me think of before I even entered the camp. Those were good times.” Yuki gave a sad smile. “I miss my family and my gang.”
(I’ll be gone for a few days.)
"Your gang? Like criminal gang or friends gang?" Rowan asked playfully, a small smirk tugging at the corner if her lips.
(Okay)
Nyir hummed noncommittally as the elevator reached the top floor. "Good luck, Armand," she said.
(Okay, whats the plan for gladiator duel?)
(We're replacing Kodiak with someone else and saying he escaped somehow. We're not sure who yet.)
(Okay)
Armand looked at Nyir for a moment, smiling a friendly smile. "Here's hoping things go well. Did you know you're a rather pretty woman? Thought that might be nice to hear from someone." He chuckled, before putting his hands in his pockets. He hoped they'd talk again.
"Hm," she snorted, rolling her eyes just a bit, "you sap." She gave him a once over. "You look almost presentable." Then she smiled a real smile that lit up her entire face. "See you around, Armand."
(Going to bed. Night!)
