"Oh goodie!" Bernon took a huge bite of his and burned his mouth. "Owwow, but yes it yum! Good job, me!"
"Oh goodie!" Bernon took a huge bite of his and burned his mouth. "Owwow, but yes it yum! Good job, me!"
Tanrial gave a small laugh and continued to eat, “Yes, good job you.”
(I’m gonna have to go for a bit, but I’ll try to get back soon)
(Okay, same ^^)
(Hola!)
(shoot, I gotta go to bed now but here have this anyway)
"Thank-you." Bernon beamed proudly and finished his meal in four more bites. "Veggies are the best bedtime snack in my opinion."
(seeya tomorrow!)
“I prefer fish… or cake. Whatever works.” Tanrial finished soon as well and got back the carving.
"Mm, yeah, those are nice too." Bernon wrapped his notebook in its leather cover and sighed. "Thanks again for letting me stay, and for all your help. I don’t meet people this nice very often.” He paused, seeming to debate with himself. “So…Tanrial. Speaking of…can I ask you a question?”
“Go ahead, as long as it’s nothing bad.” Tanrial placed the carving down and turned to face Bernon.
"Well, uh…" Bernon scratched the back of his head. "Have you seen a guy wandering around lately? He kinda looks like me, but his hair's a bit redder and he doesn't carry as much stuff?"
Tanrial shook her head and worry clouded her eyes, “No, I haven’t. Why?”
Bernon paused, glancing nervously at the dark windows. "See, the thing is….I think he might be following me. I met him a few days ago, in the hill country. He saved me from some bandits, but then he turned on me and tried to take my stuff. I managed to get away, but, um, I’m sorta worried. He seemed really determined to rob me, for some reason.”
(Sorry, I had P.E)
“Well, I haven’t seen him. We’ll have to keep a look out when training, then.”
"Okay. Yeah." Bernon got up and collected the dishes. "I hope he doesn't cause us trouble. I'd feel terrible if I endangered you after all this."
(having supper, brb)
Tanrial shrugged, “It’s nothing we can’t handle, I’m sure.”
Bernon smiled. "I like that confidence. On that note…." He yawned widely. "….I'm ready for bed. Need anything before I head up?"
Tanrial shook her head, “I’ll be fine, thanks for all the help. I’ll see you in the morning.” She smiled back. Even though she was feeling pretty drained herself, she wanted to stay up for a little longer.
"All right. See you tomorrow." He picked up his notebook and disappeared up the stairs.
(spoiler alert, I'm probs gonna bring that Danger Stranger in pretty soon lol. Maybe after they do some magic training)
(and I gotta go again, sorry, back soon!)
Tanrial said goodnight as she watched Bernon wander upstairs and returned her head to the carving. She had finished and now a fire breathing wyvern stood on the bench. She sighed deeply and used the remaining part of her magic to put out the fire.
Struggling to her feet, she walked to her new room and quickly fell asleep.
(Okie dokie)
(welp, I didn't plan that out very well. I have like -30 minutes until lights out lol. Maybe this is a good place to pause anyway? Sorry, I'll be back tomorrow!)
(All good, see you tomorrow!)
The next morning, Bernon woke up feeling wonderful. He stretched, got up, dressed, and brought some food from his pack downstairs to cook for breakfast.
(I probably won't have much time to be on today so if I'm not here when you arrive then sorry)
Tanrial was already downstairs, casually dressed and was making a tea when Bernon came downstairs, “Morning!” She beamed over her shoulder.
(All good, I’ve got a long weekend so I can be active more often for the next 4 days)
