Tanrial nodded, quickly hurrying off towards Mike. She weaves her way through the cap fairly quickly, nearly running into a few bandits before she came across Mike, “Mike!”

@ElderGod-Carrots

“We think there’s a forest beast out there. Specifically, the one you, Rick, myself and some of the others back at the village fought a little while back,” She breathed, “Did we kill it? I’m pretty sure we killed it but I can’t remember. Anyway, there is also someone with it, dunno who, the bandits just saw a figure of sorts and I wanted to get your opinion on the whole thing.”

Shiv caught up to them in time to hear the last few sentences. "I don't think they saw anybody, just the monster. I guess if there was anybody with the forest beast, they're dead meat by now." She shivered. "I hope you guys can figure out how to drive it away, and fast."
Mike paused for a minute to absorb all this information, glancing around camp at the sudden rush of nervous activity. His mind was clearly racing. "We killed the forest beast you're talking about," he said to Tanrial slowly. "But I've dealt with plenty of them and I think I know what to do." He gave Tanrial a pointed look. "Can you give your friend here a job or something?" he asked so Shiv wouldn't hear. "I need to talk to you for a second."

Tanrial eyed him for a moment before nodded, “Hey, Shiv, can you go back to the hut and see if my bag is safe? I want tin make sure none of the stuff inside got you know, hit by the lightening.”

"Okay," Shiv said dubiously, slowly retreating and heading off to the medical shed.
The instant she was out of earshot, Mike continued speaking quietly and urgently. "Tanrial, this is it. This is our chance to get out of here. All we have to do is convince most of the the bandits to go after the forest beast, and while they're gone, we escape. They should be able to drive it off by themselves, it's clearly an ice or water type, so if they use fire then it'll probably just leave. You're the medic, so that gives you the perfect excuse to stay behind and prep your potions or something. And then, when the leader's finally got his eyes off us, we call in some favors with your friends and slip out. We'll be miles away by the time they realize what happened."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial ran a hand through her hair, "Mike we can't just leave them here to deal with that thing. It might be worse then we originally thought. Besides, like you said, I've got friends here, if we stay and help them we still might be able to help us escape. As much as we do need to leave…"

Mike fell silent and stared at her with the beginnings of disbelief. "Hold on. What?" He stood up, ignoring the fact that the roof of his wooden cage brushed the top of his head. "Are you saying that you want to stay here, helping out people you've only known for a few days–people who are also murderous criminals–instead of taking this chance to leave and get on with our lives?" He didn't raise his voice at all, but his words were still forceful. "Listen. You've been getting some pretty good treatment, haven't you? They've given you a home with a roof, three full meals a day, and the freedom to go wherever you want. Even their leader's been getting chummy with you, because you're valuable and he wants you to stick around. Me? I'm just another bruiser on the battlefield, if they even need me at all. You might notice this cage isn't exactly a five-star hotel." Mike glared at her. "Who's side are you on, Tanrial? We have a real friend out there in the woods somewhere, and I intend to go find him. We won't get a chance like this again. Are you coming or not?"

Mike watched her for another moment, then nodded shortly. "Okay. You go get the tribe to head out after the forest beast, then, and I'll start getting ready as well. I'll see you back here when they're gone."
He cut himself off as Shiv returned, and the two of them eyed each other distrustfully. "Your stuff is all safe, Tanrial," Shiv said, fidgeting. "What are we gonna do now?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

"We're gonna head back to Boar-back," She replied, looking over her shoulder at Shiv before back to Mike, "Thanks for the help Mike. Come on Shiv, let's go." She gave Mike a nod before heading back the way she came.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial slipped a hand into her trouser pocket, "Well, it isn't the forest beast I thought it was. But, Mike said it was probably an ice or water type so if most of the camp heads out there with some fire you should be able to scare it off."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

Boar-back smiled slightly. "Your bluff is good, but don't bother. I figured out where those two were hiding months ago, and I know Rezzi asked you for help recently." He tilted his head. "So I'll ask again, how is Rione doing? Can he be saved?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Look, I’m really sorry but I honestly don’t know what you’re talking about. Yes Rezzi asked for help but he’d been having trouble sleeping so I gave him a potion to help, no biggy.” Tanrial shrugged a shoulder, hoping that maybe he’d drop it but that chances were unlikely.

Boar-back half-turned to face her, leaning against a tree beside his tent. "If you're worried about what I'll do to Rione if I find him, relax. Rezzi seems to have misunderstood me at some point–I wouldn't just kick his brother out for being useless. If I did that, I'd have to kick out half the bandits here. Rezzi's a smart, capable guy and he helps me out a lot, so I owe him one. Okay? I admire your loyalty, but there's no need to lie right now."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial sighed, "Right okay fine, I went and saw him this morning. I cleaned out the infection and gave him some meds to help with the aches and chest pains. It's probably a genetic heart condition so there is much I can do but give him something to take away the pain."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

Boar-back nodded as she spoke. "That's too bad. Rione seems just as smart as his brother." One of the bandits waved from the trees, signaling that the group was ready, and their leader straightened with a sigh. "Well, thanks for trying anyway, and for being honest—eventually. Keep getting those potions ready….I should be back soon with plenty of wounded idiots for you."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial quickly headed to her hut, gathering her items as quick as she could. The quicker her and Mike got out the better. Once she was sure she had everything she needed, she headed back to Mike, hoping none of the bandits that had been left behind to guard the camp didn't see her.
