"Yep," she said, quickly getting up and leaving the thicket. "I'll be right back."
"So I hear you have another friend being kept here as well?" Rione asked once she was gone. "Rezzi tells me that he's much less willing to be nice than you are. I also heard you had another companion you lost in the storm? I'm sorry about that…."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial's face dropped ever so slightly at the mention of Bernon, through she tried not to let it distract her from the job at hand too much, "Uh yeah, it's fine, I'm sure he's okay. He's resourceful, I'm sure he found away through the storm like we did."

"I hope so," Rione replied seriously. "We were lucky to all be here in camp when the storm hit us, and we have no permanent structures so we didn't take much lasting damage. This thicket almost flooded, though." He glanced at Rezzi. "What's the weather like today? Feels dimmer than usual."
Rezzi glanced upwards. "It's cloudy. We might get a bit of rain later, but I'm pretty sure it's just a regular storm this time."
Shiv returned at that point, lugging a large, recently-scrubbed plastic bucket full of water. "Here you go, Tanrial. Will this be enough?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial looked back and raised a brow, “Wow that’s, that’s more then I needed but thank you.” She gave Shiv a smile, turning back to Rione as she finished up his arms and moved to his legs.

Shiv grinned awkwardly and ducked her head. "Uh, sure, no problem."
"You made sure nobody saw you come here, right?" Rezzi asked anxiously.
Shiv's expression relaxed and she sighed. "Yeah, I did, I promise. Nobody's paying attention to me anyway. They're all getting ready for the storm. Hey Tanrial, when we're done in here, let's go back to the medical shed. I can help you fill in the cracks in the walls and get stuff up off the floor if you want, since you've never been here in a storm before."

@ElderGod-Carrots

"That would be a great help, thanks Shiv." Tanrial finished up on Rione's legs, sighing afterwards and shaking her hands out a moment later. She picked up a vile from her bag, placing it in the water, letting some of the liquid fill it up. She took the other two coloured potions, pouring both into the other vile filled with water, placing her hand over the top and shaking it up so all three liquids mixed. it formed a weird, muddy brown liquid, a similar consistency to thickened cream, "This should help with the chest pains and helping clear out infection. This is all I've got so use it wisely."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial rubbed at her chin, "Aloe Vera, ginger and turmeric crushed up and mixed with water into a paste will help with the pains. Unfortunately there isn't much to help the chest pain although licorice and peppermint might help but it might not work as well as the drink."

Rezzi tugged a very battered notebook and pencil from his pocket, quickly scribbling down all the ingredients. "We'll take what we can get at this point. There's trading posts around here that we can probably steal some of this stuff from."
Rione glanced over worriedly. "Don't go off to a trading post alone, okay? Those places are heavily guarded, and it's not worth it if you get caught."
"I know. I'll be careful." Rezzi put the notebook back in his pocket and turned to Tanrial. "Thanks again. If you've done everything you needed to do, I can take you and Shiv back to camp now."

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Yeah, I think I'm done here," She stood, "If it's no trouble I want to come back tomorrow morning just to check in and see how everything is going, if that's okay with the both of you?"

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

Rezzi escorted her and Shiv away from the thicket and back to camp, taking a slightly different route than before. Once they were back in the main clearing, he peeled off on other errands. Shiv led Tanrial over to the medicine shed and started assessing the structure, looking for weak points. "We can use rags and moss and stuff to fill the holes in the walls, and I think we have another tarp lying around somewhere. We tried to use mud for a while, but we forgot that the rain will make it melt again." She walked to the side of the shed that was on higher ground and pointed to a wedge-shaped line of raised earth that surrounded the wall, pointing up the slope. "This is to make the rainwater run around the shed instead of into it. We did that for all the shelters last year. And we have a little ditch on the lower side to keep the water moving." She seemed quite proud of this feat of engineering. "Make sense?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

(Happy new year! Sorry I had a busy few days oof, hope your new years was (or is going to be) amazing :) <3 )
Tanrial nodded, "On the inside corners you could always pack a bunch of dirt to give it an extra barrier so the rain doesn't get in. And the tarp will go over the top of the shed, yeah?"

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

"Yep! Hang on, I'll go get it." Shiv trotted off, heading towards a large pile of junk across camp.
She was about halfway there when, without any warning whatsoever, there was a flash of white that overpowered the dim sun, flooding the forest with light and painting stark black shadows on the ground beneath the trees. Less than a second later, a massive explosion of thunder followed, sending bandits staggering and dogs sprinting for shelter. Tranquility returned just as quickly, but the air was thick with electricity and the whole camp was in an uproar.
Shiv whipped around, trying to scrub the spots out of her eyes. "That was CLOSE! Tanrial, you okay!?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

(OoO dRaMa)

Tanrial jumped three feet out of her skin with the flash of lightening and thunder. She blinked a couple times, turning to Shiv, "Bit spooked but I'm okay. What the hell was that? No way that was just the beginning of a normal thunder storm."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

"I dunno….." Shiv looked spooked as well, glancing at the sky as if afraid of another lightning strike.
As the echoes of the thunder began to fade, there was a shout from the trees and a small group of bandits raced into camp, their clothes singed and their eyes wide with terror. They dashed straight to Boar-back's tent, not even bothering to ask before hurrying inside.
Shiv grabbed Tanrial's arm. "Let's go see what they're up to, it looks like they might know something!"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial nodded, immediately heading off to the tent and dragging Shiv with her. She pretty much barged into the tent, looking around for Boar-back, spotting him and raising a brow, "Uh, please explain what just happened."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

Boar-back returned the look from across the tent. "That's what I'm about to request of these young gentlemen." He glanced pointedly at the lightly toasted bandits. "Go on?"
"There's something out there, boss," one of them gasped. "A monster. We were just huntin' for berries 'n stuff, but all of a sudden we heard this crazy loud roar, and there was a big crash, and…." He turned shakily to his companions. "Did any of you guys see it?"
"It was huuuuge," a second bandit piped up. "And enormous, too. It had fur and crazy teeth, and that's all I saw. Then it made the lightning appear, out of nowhere! And then we ran."
Bor-back's eyes narrowed. "Sounds like a forest beast. We haven't had one of those around here in years."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial frowned slightly, "There was a forest beast of that description not too far from here. Still a little ways away but… sounds similar. Mike and I and some of our other friends had a little trouble with it a small while back, if it's the same one, that is."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

"Really? Well that's just our luck." Boar-back massaged his forehead. "You four, did it follow you back?"
"Don't think so," the first bandit responded anxiously. "What are we gonna do, chief?"
"We're going to keep quiet and not do anything for the moment," their leader responded evenly. "You think you can do anything about this, Tanrial? If not, we'll figure something else out."

@ElderGod-Carrots

(Mum dragged me out, sorry! Seeya soon)
"It might be worth sending a scouting group out there, just to see of it is what we think it is but… Can I ask Mike 'bout it?" She asked, "He was there the last time this happened and it might be worth getting his opinion.

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

"I guess it might be a good idea to make your friend useful for once." Boar-back straightened and walked out of the tent, waving for everyone to follow. "You four boys, go get the soot cleaned off and tell Rezzi to double the guard. Nobody comes in or out of camp right now. Tanrial, go talk to your friend and then report back to me with whatever he says. Make it snappy–forest beasts are nothing to drag your feet around."
