"Oh, well good. I reckon Ashley would be disappointed if I took an abrupt trip to Hell for whatever reason," Valory looked at Cam in suspicion. "And how do I know I can trust you?"
"Oh, well good. I reckon Ashley would be disappointed if I took an abrupt trip to Hell for whatever reason," Valory looked at Cam in suspicion. "And how do I know I can trust you?"
"You don't. If you don't want help with your wing from me, I completely understand. Still, you'd probably get it fixed up soon." Cam shrugged, not really caring if she got to help or not. She had offered it, and that's all she really had to do as of now.
She grimaced in pain as she moved slightly. "Ah fine then. But first!" Valory said before Cam could make a move. "You must tell me your name, who you are."
"You can call me Cam. And I'm an Author." With that, she took her backpack off to access its contents.
"An Author?" Valory asked with a confused look on her face. "Is that a human thing… or? But nice to meet you Cam!"
"Pleasure to meet you." She pulled a small bottle of ink out of her bag.
"And it's sort of a human thing. Like, it's human, just not this world human. Is this making sense?"
"No," Valory stated. "I live up in the heavens, with Ashley," she continued, and painfully extended her right wing to full length.
"Well," Cam explained as she started to open the ink bottle, "I myself am human, but I'm not from this universe, wether it be Heaven, Hell, or everything inbetween. I'm from another universe's Earth." She dipped her finger in the ink, then gently started to apply it to Valory's wing injury.
"There, when a human writes something, it comes true in another universe. Me being me, I've been travelling between different universes. If I'm in a universe that I didn't 'create,'" she said create with very heavy sarcasm, as if she didn't really believe that was the case, "the only way I'm able to alter something is with the permission of the person/people related to what I'm altering. That's why I asked if I could help." The area where Cam applied the ink started to regrow. When she finished, she stepped back as the ink finished disappearing into Valory's new flesh.
"There, that should be better."
"Oh," Valory looked down at her wing in surprise. "That actually worked. I'm Valory by the way."
Cam started putting her things back in her backpack.
"Nice name."
"Thanks," Valory began to test her wing out a bit.
Talia looked up and seemed to notice Cam for the first time. "Who're you?" She frowned.
Cam groaned.
"I literally just explained." She sighed, turning to Talia.
"I'm Cam, an Author who's just out for a night of partying."
"And I'm very drunk." Talia shook her head lazily. "You must not have fun much if you're an author. I'm told it sucks. Plus by being one you're automatically bound for Hell."
The scent of blood, it was almost maddening to a creature such as her. Risosu wrapped his arm around his sister's shoulder, leading her out of the room and towards the backyard. There were fewer people back there. The most were a few casual smokers, couple other, smaller groups that seemed to prefer the outside and less people.
He brought his shaking sister to the side as they stood underneath a tree further away from the rest. Maria's skin had changed, pale white scales now on her hands. As she lifted her head, once yellow eyes had changed to a deep crimson red, pupils nearly no longer visible. She seemingly opened her mouth to say something, but the only thing that came was an agitated hiss.
"C'mon sis, hang in there, alright? Take your canteen, and just drink the rest of it down…if it comes down to it, we can figure something else out."
Risosu's voice was soft, calming. Maria did as told, but she seemed to be suffering terribly. Her much larger brother stood between her and any prying eyes, but seemed the few in the backyard were relaxed and easy-going, which was the best atmosphere right now. He would just have to wait and hope the contents of the canteen would satisfy his sister and keep her from going on a complete rampage.
"Goddamn't…I should've never let you talk me into this…"
Risosu remained on alert, watchful. His tall form continuing to be a 'wall' in front of the frenzied Maria who was clearly trying to calm down from the sudden maddening overload of spilt blood.
"First off: Hell? Never heard that before. And secondly; I don't think I'm the kind of Author you're thinking of, but okay." Cam shrugged, swinging her bag back on her back and taking another sip of her martini.
“Nah, all artists are sent to Hell. That’s just how it works.” She took a moment to see what was happening behind them with the two people. “I’ll have you know, Lovecraft is really fucking loud.”
Cam shrugged.
"The more you know."
