LeLani chuckled as a dragon hatchlings jumped and played
”Bolt! Get down from there before I have to get your harness!” Hannah instructed the young storm Dragon, who was sitting happily on top of a very tall cabinet. She sighed seeing her little trouble maker wasn't going to budge easily. ”At least Shimmer isn't misbehaving.” she muttered looking around for a way to solve her current problem. ”Hey, Lana? Can you help me out?” she asked of the other girl.
(I feel like Bolt and Acyn would get along very well lmao)
Roscoe ran into the nursery looking for Alex. "Alex? Where are you?" He said, running inside, looking behind play structures.
(lol thanks)
Alex walked backed into the nursery with a new set of charts, "Yeah what's up?"
"You remember the experiment I was working on? The one where i was trying to naturally merge two types of DNA togather?" He asked her with wild eyes. "Well one of the assistants accidentally added the liquid from a test tube into my mixture and made it a success. They added the TB2LB5." He said. TB2LB5 or 2 parts Tyrannosaurus Bone with 5 part Lizard Blood was a fairly sacred mixture in the lab considering how hard it was to combine successfully. A total of 2 litres existed in this lab and Roscoe just used up 30ml.
"It did?" Alex looked up at Roscoe with slightly happy and excited eyes. They were ecstatic about finding a new combination, but at the same time, it worried her that it worked, "That's amazing! But it shouldn't mix. I had run computer tests and it wasn't working on any of those."
"Well I added a bit of mercury to the formula and heated it before adding powdered ruby shards and calcite shavings. I guess the mercury reacted with the formula. I was just about to take it to the microscope and check out the cells. Wanna come with?" He asked
"Hell yeah!" Alex said with a grin, "Mind if I take a sample too to get the nitty gritty stuff?"
"Be my guest." He grinned, walking out if the nursery and back to his table where he picked up the beaker and put a special lid on it before taking it to a specially created light microscope. It worked like a regular one did but used light to give much more specific data.
Alex grinned and followed after. She, they?, was excited to find out what happened to cause something that never seemed to work to be one of the few that combined. They were also happy to find out Roxcoe would let her take a sample.
Roscoe put his eye to the lens and gasped. "The cells are perfect, they are dividing and modling themselves naturally! How is this possible?" He muttered
Alex nudged him a little, "Let me see. And if I can have that sample now I might be able to tell ya."
"Take a sample of the liquid surrounding the creature, dint touch the organism. I dont want anything to unintentionally ruin it." He grinned
Alex grinned at him and grabbed a pipet to carefully suck up a small sample of liquid, "I'll try my best to get something out of the liquid. It should work, but I don't know how well I will be able to analyze the actual organism without getting a sample from it. But I understand your reasoning."
She brought the small liquid sample to their computer analyzer to get into dissecting the DNA in this thing.
Aelia watched as the others busied themselves in the lab. She snapped her goggles onto her face and approached Alex and Roscoe. They were both a little older than her, and had a lot more experience, but there really wasn't any better way to learn than getting all the way into it. "Hey, Roscoe, Alex! Y'all seem excited. Did something good happen?" She asked. Aelia knew that Roscoe had been experimenting with some DNA but he wasn't all that successful. Well, until now, it seemed.
Roscoe nodded. Out of all the younger people here, it seemed as though Aelia had left a much better impression than most others. "You remember the experiment I was working on? Well turns out that adding a little bit of a secret something allowed it to actual form. I created a brand new lifeform!" He whispered excitedly. "Don't alert anyone else though, it is still very delicate."
Alex had finally got of the DNA strands to show up in the program. She studied it for a minute before they called Roscoe over, “Yo Roscoe, come look at this.”
(is it too late to join?)
LeLani walked swiftly over to her favorite of the little dragons as she nudged her with her head "Hey Mo'o how is your wing bud" she carefully picked up her left wing but even as she did the small dragonet whimpered so LeLani gently picked him up to take her to Hannah
Hannah was keeping her eyes on her mischievous Dragon when she heard Lana come over. ”Thanks. Bolt’s being stubborn and I don't want to lure him down with a snack or he’ll think it's a reward.” she explained finally turning towards her. ”Oh. Is Mai hurt? Bring him over here.”
Because of her own Dragon charges, Hannah practically had a secondary office space in the corner of the nursery/playroom.
LeLani nodded walking into the room "her wing is hurt" gingerly she sat the baby dragon down
(edited due to it was rushed earlier)
Hannah nodded. ”Alright, may I see how bad it is?” she asked holding out her arms to either hold the dragon or just examine the injury. ”Any idea what happened?”
