"Yeah," Aurelius said, sighing audibly afterwards. "Do you know of anywhere we might be able to buy some medicine, should I need it? And food. Where can we go to find some?"
The woman began speaking, and gave some directions, but told them that as long as they stayed in the village, everything they could need was not so far away.
Aurelius thanked her, turned to Charlie, and whispered a thanks to him for having his back. He looked at the key's number, then began searching for the room.

@Norepinephrinxx

Charlie also thanked the lady and gave a slight nod to Aurelius as response to the thankyou. "I can navigate miles in each directions how am I so useless in navigating buildings and villages" He laughed a bit adjusting the leather backpack on his shoulder, it didn't contain much but he thought he'd bring it in with them anyways as it would look odd to come in with nothing

@Becfromthedead group

Aurelius pointed in the direction of the room finally and began walking over. Meanwhile, he was digging through his own backpack to see if he had a needle and thread, which he would need to repair his torn shirt. He waited for Charlie to open the door, and continued to stand there, trying to see what kind of supplies he had.

@Norepinephrinxx

Charlie opened the door revealing an old small room although it seemed to be well kept. He walked in and put his bag on a bed and looked through it to see what he had. He had some basic supplies but no food

@Becfromthedead group

Aurelius dumped out his bag. He had a little food, which he had purchased earlier that day, a sewing kit, an empty canteen, bandages, and money, as well as an old book.
"We should spare this food for later, in case we are on the road for a while and can't find a village," he suggested, "For now, we should eat here."
Aurelius began to put his things away, but stopped as he began to feel faint again. He sat down on the other bed, trying to ride out the dizziness.

Charlie found a large canteen that had water leftover in it in his bag alongside the rest of the stuff "I have some water if you need you should drink something you bled quite a bit" He said offering the canteen to Aurelius

"That'd help. Thanks," Aurelius replied, taking the canteen and then drinking a little from it. He handed it back.
"Do you want to get food? I'm starving."

@Norepinephrinxx

"Yes definitely" Charlie put the canteen back and grabbed what money he had left over from his bag and the key for the room
"Once we get farther away we will probably have to find a source of money" He said knowing they would eventually run out

The massive dragon's eyes continued to glare between Jade and Dawn. His cold eyes scrutinizing their every movement, as if trying to read them.
~I see…there are some who wish to not see another in pain, as where other's have a sick sense of joy from another's suffering~.
Jun's gaze returned to looking at his rider. The red dragon had taken a few steps back, but still remained hovering nearby. He easily towered over the other dragon. The beast's growling had quieted down some, though his body remained tense, alert. Jun nearly snapped at the girl as he heard Cain suddenly groan from the pain.
As for Cain, there was some work to be done. His cloak being carefully removed followed by his shirt allowing for easier access. A jagged hole was between the shoulder, mangled. It would indeed take quite some time for the wound to heal. The older male remained in an uneasy sleep.
The dragon nearby shifted his weight. His head turned towards the entrance, forked tongue flicking from his jaws, testing the air. They were alone, other than the young girl and her dragon. Though still, Jun would remain on alert. His tail slowly swayed one way, then the other. The giant dragon's eyes shifted back to the pair.
~A pity the village was taken…I should've known they would've come…~.
Jun grimaced as he thought back. He knew the men who attacked, just like his rider. The dragon slowly closed his eyes. His nostrils flared, small streams of black smoke escaping. He remained like this for several moments, before once again opening his yellow eyes.
~What will you do now, if I may ask~ Jun suddenly asked ~It is doubtful you have a home to return to…and well, Cain doesn't usually much care for 'company' other than myself~.
The large beast seemingly sighed. He himself was more tolerable with others than Cain. Jun didn't mind company too much, but like Cain, he did prefer his solitude from time to time. However, Cain was more prone to secluding himself.

@Norepinephrinxx

"I think so, we should be able to find something she said we should be able to find everything we need in the village" Charlie responded leading the way out of the room locking the door behind them

@ShadeStar

Dawn and Jade looked at eachother. Before Jade took a deep breath, "For now I think we'll stay until he wakes up. Then we can figure out our plan. It wouldn't be that hard for us to pack up and leave. The village was our home, yes. But it hadn't been for very long. Dawn and I will most likely go back to traveling."

Dawn let out a sigh and smoke rose from her nostrils, ~I will miss the village, but as long as I have Jade. Everything will be fine.

Jade looked to her dragon and smiled. Before the village it had been the two of them and the skies. Afterwards it would seem the outcome was the same.

Aurelius began going down the hall of the inn and into the small village; it was even tinier than the one he had grown up in, and he was easily able to find a couple of places to eat. There was a tavern to one side, and a bakery to the other.
"Want to head to the tavern, Charlie? They've probably got good food, and I can get myself a pint while we're there."

@Becfromthedead group

(Aghhh sorry, I've been baking.)
Aurelius sat up at the bar and ordered stew and a beer. He paid some of his money to the bartender, who was not exactly talkative, but very attentive and quick to set him up with a drink.

@Norepinephrinxx

(Yum I love baking)
Charlie ordered bread and beer and handed the man his money. He got his drink quickly after Aurelius and waited for the food

@Becfromthedead group

(Yeah, I made brownies. I'm hanging out with my friends tomorrow, and I'm the grandma friend who always brings baked goods when we do something.)
Aurelius sipped on his drink and watched the bartender duck into the kitchen for a moment. He heard him say something indistinct to whoever was back there, then he came back out and attended to another customer.
"I don't see much of a future ahead," Aurelius murmured, speaking somewhat down into his mug.
His eyes were fixed on nothing in particular, but he was staring intensely.

@Norepinephrinxx

"Honestly me neither. I can't believe it's all gone" He said taking a drink from his beer "It's very surreal but we'll make it somewhere"

@Becfromthedead group

Aurelius nodded. "Yeah. Well, we have each other. We've got Nox and Jekyll. At least we're not completely alone in the world. If it weren't for the dragons, we could just slip into normal society, fade into the background… and yet I cannot bear the thought of leaving Nox behind. We're too close."
