(Oh, it can be! You're probably right. I was thinking basic long clothes, but I guess it would be more of just a long-sleeved shirt and simple cotton pants. That makes more sense, sorry! Pretend I said that, then.)
Eluciel lifted his head. He hadn't expected anyone to say much of anything to him. About him, maybe, but he especially wasn't ready to hear his name. He blinked his hazel eyes and raised both brows unsurely, his pulse starting to pick up. Behind her, he could see pairs of students flapping about and falling of the sky. He watched them in feigned disinterest for a second before turning back her way.
"I don't believe I've had the pleasure," he said, muttering something else under his breath. His lips twitched to the side. "That is what they call me. You need something?"
(I'm here, but I assume my character's coming in later. Like, in the next class or something? Idk)
(Ack, sorry guys today was a lot busier than I thought it would be! I'll get up a reply ASAP. Also, maybe Tor could rp with your character, Robin?)
"Sorry, I'm Ivaline," she introduced herself, silently reminding herself that being annoyed with people generally wasn't helpful. "We're supposed to be partners for the flying exercises," she explained gesturing to where their fellow classmates were taking to the air and practicing the formations. She did find it odd that he didn't appear to have any wings, but obviously if he was in the class that wasn't the case. Perhaps his wings were transparent or something.
"We should probably get going. Everyone has already started."
(Don't worry, she'll still lose her patience and argue with him xD)
Tor stood in a grassy areas between building attempting to practice his storm magic. He had an exam later in the day that he'd been putting off practicing for in order to spend more time on his healing classes, so now he was trying to cram. For the most part he was doing alright, but right now he could not get the wind to do anything he wanted it to.
"Come on you bugger," he muttered under his breath as he tried once again to get the wind to blow in a circular motion to create a vortex.
His heart skipped a beat uncomfortably, and he unconsciously followed her gaze to his wings as she was talking. He grazed his fingertips against the space between his shoulders. They were still hidden by the rune he traced on everyday, but he felt like she could see them. The limbs twitched awkwardly, still stinging and sore from last night's activities.
Eluciel tried to keep the panic out of his eyes as he crossed one leg over the other. "I'll pass. I'm not even in the right uniform." A fake smile crawled its way onto his face as he gestured downwards. "Whoops. You have fun, though. See if she'll put you in a group of three."
Ivaline crossed her arms and gave him a judgemental look assuming his excuse was made out of laziness. Perhaps that was why she had never noticed Eluciel in class. Maybe he didn't always show up.
"You don't need a specific uniform for flying," she pointed out flatly. "And the formation is specifically for two people. It would mess everything up to make a group of three." The exercise wasn't even all that hard. Maybe he didn't have wings after all.
"Maybe, but I don't think it'd do much good if I flew in what I'm wearing. That wouldn't be very aerodynamic. Unfortunately for you, I don't feel like going back to change," Eluciel retorted. His pulse raced with every look she gave him. He wanted her to look anywhere else but him, but it didn't seem to him like she wanted to give up anytime soon.
The wind whipped his hair around his face as he desperately thought of a way out. He swallowed just out of sight, then put on a snarky smirk as it hit him. "If it's not that hard, why don't you do it yourself? You don't need me to fly, surely. It looks like you've got wings that work."
(Ugh I'm so sorry for disappearing! It's the last week of classes before finals so there's so much to do and not enough time to do it, haha. I'll get a response up sometime tomorrow because it's after 1am and I need to get some sleep. Got a big presentation tomorrow, woo.)

For the most part he was doing alright, but right now he could not get the wind to do anything he wanted it to.
"Come on you bugger," he muttered under his breath as he tried once again to get the wind to blow in a circular motion to create a vortex.
"Need any help?" Sam spotted Tor struggling and decided he should try to assist him. Electricity sparked through his fingertips. "Perhaps you just need a little energy?" He zapped Tor's shoulder lightly. "Shocking, isn't it?" He laughed a bit. He had always enjoyed puns.
(Hi! Hope your presentation went well, Angel!)
(Yep, I think it's @AngelFire's turn)
(omg I'm sorry I'm such a loser for not being on yesterday Dx These may be a bit short, I've got to run to class.)
Ivaline stared at him in disbelief. "It's not a matter of hard or easy! It's that the exercise is useless for one person. The point is to practice keeping good spacing between your partner when you're flying. One person can't do that!" She wasn't quite yelling, but it was getting close. She just couldn't understand why it was so hard for him to just suck it up and do the drill. This was school. Sometimes there were things you didn't want to do but you did them anyway.
Tor had been focusing so much he hadn't heard Sam approach, so he jumped slightly when he spoke and then jumped again at the shock from his touch. Of course, hearing the pun he couldn't help laughing. "Or maybe I should just accept my fate for this exam," he said and turned to face Sam. "Though I suppose any pointers you could give would help," he added with a shrug.
"Sorry about my terrible sense of humor. I'm Samandriel, by the way." He held out his hand, managing to resist shocking Tor again. "But call me Sam. Samandriel's quite the mouthful. And the main tip I'd give is to just channel energy to your fingertips. Imagine that your physical energy is electrical energy, and then just focus on your hands."
"Then find someone else! I don't care!" Eluciel hissed back, temper causing a flare of redness to fog his vision. He took a deep breath and stepped further back, scowled, and rotated that his back was to her. The bottoms of his shoes scuffed against the grass as he walked a few paces forward, and he came to rest against one of the wooden perches set at the edge of the field. His fingers played unconsciously at the golden paint, peeling off strips in curling bouts, and he kept his face hidden from the wind.
(Sorry again, I should be able to actually rp more now. And hopefully we can get to a point where you're not both waiting on me, haha.)
"I'm Tor. Nice to meet you, Sam," Tor replied with a smile and shook Sam's hand. "And you sense of humor is definitely not terrible," he added with a grin. Then he turned and tried to focus again, trying to do as Sam had suggested and channel the energy into his fingertips. There was a little bit of a spark, but it took him another moment to discharge a full bolt of energy. It wasn't big, but it would probably be enough to get him through. "Huh, that seemed pretty easy," he commented with a laugh. "Thanks for the tip!"
Ivaline watched him walk off with a frown. Obviously she wasn't going to get him to fly, so she finally gave up and walked back over to the teacher to see if something could be done. She cast a glance over to where Eluciel was peeling the paint off the fence. Part of her felt bad for pushing him so hard, but it wasn't like he'd given her any legitimate excuses for why he didn't want to fly. Maybe it wasn't her business, but blaming it on his clothes wasn't valid in her book.
(Maybe now would be a good time to go to the next class?)
"No problem! What class do you have next?" Sam made a few small lightning bolts of his own and sent a gust of wind towards another group of students, knocking all their books to the ground. He laughed a bit, making more winds. The students had no idea where it was coming from, and just continued trying to pick up their book.
(can i join?)
(Hey! I'd be fine with you joining but since it's Reini's RP I think they need to make the decision. Sorry!)

Tor tried not to laugh as he watched the other students trying to pick up their books and then went to pick up his own things where he'd left them by the wall. After thinking for a moment to try to remember what day it was, he finally answered. "Next for me is Basic Magic Training," he said, shoving his books into his bag. "You?"
"Same. Are we in the same class? Mrs. Litver?" Sam flipped a smooth stone in his hand, watching the group of students. He loved messing with people, but he was never caught. He was always such a quiet, goody two shoes student in class, so no one would ever suspect him.
